Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Texas. I have been a licensed counselor in Central Texas for 9 years and have been offering individual telehealth sessions for 4 years. I help adolescents and adults struggling with life-stage stress, depression, mood issues, relationship/communication stress, anxiety, and negative self talk. I strive to offer a private, calm space for clients.
The first session is about understanding where clients are and what specific challenges they may be facing.
I believe in judgement-free communication, person-centered compassion, and solution focused sessions. I utilize CBT often to help clients navigate toward healthier thinking.
I enjoy working with women who are struggling with mood issues, stress, relationship and dating anxiety, and negative self esteem. My clients are eager to feel better, but don't yet have the tools needed to manage moods and stress on a daily basis. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed or anxious.
CBT techniques can help us identify problematic thinking and behavior patterns and shed light on areas for growth. CBT can also help us identify and re-frame negative thoughts and manage symptoms of anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders.
My counseling sessions are founded in trust, compassion and lack of judgement. Sessions often highlight the importance of responding to self-criticism with compassion and self-kindness.
