Tamika Robinson
My name is Tamika Robinson, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I enjoy working with patients across a life span, while helping clients to achieve clarity, feeling heard, understood, and empowered in their healing journey. Specializing in medication management and supportive therapy, tailoring each treatment plan to meet individual needs and goals. My mission is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore challenges, build resilience, while work towards lasting well-being. I'll also include things like where you want your life to be a month, six months, and a year from now. Then, we'll identify options and strategies we can use to get there. Lastly leaving the session with a better understanding of what you're facing with a plan in place.
What stands out is allowing patients to be themselves, and not having judgment.
First session
In the very First session, we go over your background, challenges, and goals. We also discuss what has worked in the past, while putting together a plan that suit you, your mental health and lifestyle. Lastly keeping each other accountable while staying on track and meeting our goals.
Strengths
My therapeutic approach is rooted in a strengths-based, person-centered model that focuses on what clients already do well, rather than solely on problems. This means working collaboratively with clients to identify their natural abilities, coping skills, and personal resources—such as resilience, creativity, determination, or strong support networks. However, I've also found sometimes the best approach is making it client-centered, collaborative care, evidence-based, tailored interventions, strengths-based and Goal-Oriented.
