My mission as a clinician is to assist my client’s in realizing and accomplishing their short- and long-term goals. I have a master’s degree, specializing in clinical mental health counseling. My practice includes appropriate assessments to confirm specialized diagnosis. I utilize Cognitive-Behavioral, Trauma Informed , and Person-Centered Therapy approaches with individual clients depending on their needs. I have an extensive history and training in trauma, mental health crisis, and substance use. My background also includes court and criminal justice experience. Due to my professional history, I have a unique perspective to those struggling with crisis and trauma related struggles. My goal as a practitioner is to guide clients to success and whatever that means for them personally through the therapeutic process. I am currently accepting new clients.

CBT helps you become aware of inaccurate or negative thinking so you can view challenging situations more clearly and respond to them in a more effective way.
The benefits of motivational interviewing include: Helping clients to take responsibility for themselves and their actions. Encouraging clients to envision a future free of substance abuse or mental health struggles. Preparing clients to become more receptive to treatment.
TF-CBT uses exposure principles and cognitive-restructuring techniques that are specific to the traumatic experience. Exposure involves gradually introducing individuals to reminders of the trauma that may be tangible, such as places or people, or intangible, such as specific memories of traumatic events.
