As a clinical social worker, I use a strength-based and person-centered approach when working with clients. My expertise is treating anxiety, depression and OCD and I have experience working with clients seeking support for many other challenges as well. My clients include adults, families, couples and children. I personalize each treatment plan and makes sure that I am working with the client, not just the diagnosis. My goal is to make clients feel empowered on their journey through their mental health challenges and other adversities. I am a strong proponent of building a therapeutic alliance with every client I work with - trust and mutual respect between myself and clients are essential. I like to make my sessions lively and come prepared each time we meet. Therapy is hard work but that doesn't mean it can't be fun as well!
In our first session, we will spend some time getting to know each other. There will be a space for you to ask questions to me, and I will ask questions in order to create a treatment plan design specifically for you.
I work hard to develop a therapeutic relationship with each client. I realize that therapy can be incredibly challenging and want to make sessions as comfortable as possible, while still being productive.
I primarily use CBT, DBT, and open process to help my clients determine what next steps to take.
