I am a licensed clinical social worker, licensed in Florida, Texas, Iowa and Wisconsin, who has worked in outpatient, intensive outpatient, residential and inpatient settings, in mental health, addiction and eating disorder fields. My approach in therapy integrates holistic, expressive, developmental attachment theory and traditional evidence-based approaches. I have had a broad experience working with children, teens, emergent adults, as well as parents and families. Prior to graduate school, I worked in the art field and continues to integrate expressive arts into her practice with clients. I received my Master of Clinical Social Work degree from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2014. During graduate school and since graduation, my focus has been on trauma resolution. Julia was initially trained in trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral therapy and now in Rapid Resolution therapy, which is an approach that achieves memory reconsolidation, without re-traumatization in as few as 1-2 sessions. I was trained in Rapid Resolution therapy in 2017 and have used the techniques with clients in a variety of settings. Although I enjoy working with clients on a variety of issues, my specialization is in eating disorders, mood and trauma-related disorders with 3+ years experience working in higher levels of care in the eating disorder field. I am passionate about helping my clients find body liberation, food freedom and recovery from eating disorders. Follow: IG @juliathompsontherapy

Thank you for taking the first step of courage and making yourself a priority today. Opening yourself up and being vulnerable can be a tremendous step to your healing process. My name is Brytni Johnson. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) born and raised in Texas (always in and around "DFW”). I have been working with people: moms and dads; sons and daughters; brothers and sisters; even grandparents for as long as I can remember. I realized just over 12 years ago, I wanted to "help people." I wanted to become educated and trained; learn how to better explore and accentuate my natural skills, while also being able to understand and develop new skills to best assist my clients. In 2012, I graduated with my Bachelor of Social Work. In 2016, I graduated with my Master of Social Work. Shortly after graduating, I obtained my LMSW licensure, and have been practicing in a licensed, professional environment for the past 7 years. After obtaining my license, it was then, my "toolbelt" (yes, toolbelt) gained its first tool. From there, I began working towards building my clinical knowledge in order to obtain my clinical license as a social worker. I obtained my LCSW licensure June 2022; shortly after completing over 3,000 clock hours and over 100 clinical supervision hours.

I operate from the stance that people were not intended to suffer alone. Often, burdens that appear too heavy or too great to move beneath feel that way because the individual does not have adequate resources and skills to process the situations or experiences. As a therapist, I have been blessed to stand alongside many individuals as they planted their feet back on the ground and learned to skills necessary to alter their view of self or to shift so that they became bigger than their pain. I have worked in both in-patient and private practice settings over the course of the last eight years. I have experience working with trauma, eating disorders, addiction, process addictions, families, parenting concerns, ADHD, depression, anxiety, and personality disorders. I am capable of engaging in Christian therapy if desired by the client. Overall, my goal as a therapist is to work beside the client as they learn to meet their goals, not to stand in front and pull them along or stand behind and push them. If we need to stand still and sort through some obstacles before moving forward, then that is part of the process and time well spent.
