Greetings to all of you. My name is Jameion B. Fowler. I'm so happy to be able to work with a variety of different populations throughout my career. These include Mental Health, Substance Abuse and work with Children and families. I am currently working as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker/Therapist. I'm Ta'Meka Gethers, MA, LPC, NCC, a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years of experience helping children, adolescents, adults, older adults, and families overcome obstacles and build healthier, more fulfilling lives. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs. I believe that every person has strengths they can draw upon, even during life's most difficult seasons. Even if it is a place you have never opened the doors for another. I gained my education at New York University and have experience working in many major diverse communities across the United States. This practice experience and armed me with the humility to connect with all cultures, intersections, and identities.

With more than two decades of experience, I've been privileged to work in a variety of settings including psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment centers, domestic violence shelters, juvenile justice, forensic facilities & child advocacy centers. I am currently licensed in AK, DE, FL, GA, ID, NH, SC, UT and VT. I hold a M.Ed and an Ed.S in counseling and I am also a a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS). One of the most rewarding aspects of my work was partnering with local law enforcement & district attorneys as an expert witness in trauma & abuse cases, conducting 300+ forensic interviews across metro Atlanta. I served as an Executive Board Member on the State of GA Sexual Offender Registration Review Board for 10+ years & conducted workshops on a range of topics, including relationships, parenting, stress management & child abuse. I am a national board-certified counselor, licensed in Florida, Georgia and South Carolina, practicing for 25+ years. Additionally, I am a provider for the Crisis Care Network, on-site crisis intervention for workplace violence and mass casualty. I am a trauma conscious yoga practitioner and Star Behavioral Health provider. Despite misconceptions, my job is not to solve your problems; instead, I assist you to focus on what you can and can’t change. I work with a holistic, evidence-based, trauma informed approach, taking great care to create a space of safety, trust and respect. I will listen carefully, challenge and support you throughout your journey.
