Hi, I'm Melissa, and I’m deeply passionate about helping those who serve and those who are facing unique challenges. I understand the toll that trauma, high-stress environments, and coping with loss can take, especially for first responders, veterans, and those struggling with addiction. If you’re feeling isolated, dealing with the weight of unresolved trauma, or navigating the pull of gambling or substance use, I want you to know you’re not alone. My goal is to offer you a compassionate, supportive space where you feel heard and understood, no matter where you are on your journey.
In our work together, I use proven methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, and strengths-based approaches, tailoring them to meet your unique needs. My approach is person-centered, focused on helping you understand your experiences and empowering you to build healthier coping mechanisms and resilience.
Throughout sessions, you can expect to gain new insights, manage stress, and develop skills to overcome personal obstacles. My goal is to help you rediscover balance, purpose, and a renewed sense of hope. Whether you're seeking a partner in healing or a fresh start, I'm here to support you in reaching your goals. Hello! My name is Cheryl Cox, a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) in Ohio. I have treated individuals seeking therapy for over 15 years, in-home, in-person within medical clinics and private practice and recently via online therapy for approximately 6 years.
I feel that I have quite a down to earth approach and I take great strides in meeting you where you currently are regarding your present circumstances, situation, strengths and challenges. I also feel that humor is important in developing rapport and I very much enjoy adding a little levity, when appropriate.
Whether you're dealing with feelings of overwhelm or cycles of anxiety and depression, I'm here to help. Seeking therapy can feel scary but you're making the right choice. You deserve a safe space to heal and grow. In our sessions together, I'll meet you with compassion and evidence-based techniques so you can overcome the hang-ups and habits holding you back. Let's work together!
Hi! My name is Jana! Thank you for reading my profile :) I want you to know a little about me so you can decide if you'd like to schedule with me. I am licensed in Ohio and I have been a Therapist for over 10 years. I have been doing teletherapy for quite awhile now and I much prefer it to in-office settings. I am a mother to 3 wild kiddos, I live in the country and I [try to] make friends with feral cats. I am very chatty, I enjoy getting to know the people that I am working with. I have a lot of experience in several areas: domestic violence, narcissism, autism, intellectual disabilities, adhd, depression, pregnancy loss, anxiety, parenting issues, life changes, bullying, etc. I like a natural conversation style in sessions so it is as comfortable as possible! FYI: I'm not currently accepting couples and I don't write recommendation letters for ESA/service animals due to the potential liability.
Starting therapy can be hard work, but it doesn't have to be. I specialize in working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief. I take a person-centered, collaborative approach to therapy, tailoring each session to your unique needs and goals. Please feel welcome to reach out whenever you feel ready to begin. I’m here to provide a safe and supportive environment where you can be yourself.
I go by Becky and have been working with children and families since 2004. I have provided many different kinds of case management and therapeutic services in my social work career.
I believe that wellness includes many factors of a person's life--mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health. Some of those things in your life might be in balance while other areas are not. You probably already have the ability to manage many situation or challenges with a combination of existing strengths and learned skills; we can add to those together.
My enjoy using play therapy. Through play child, families, and (yes!) adults can work through many issues in their lives. The best part is all the hard work doesn't feel like work. We learn skills by playing throughout our entire lives beginning with playing peek-a-boo; on the grade school play ground; sports and backyard games; as well as board games and card games with friends.
If playing isn't for you, I also provide the traditional "talk therapy" that most people are familiar. I received a specialization in Military Social Work during my master’s program at USC and have a passion for working with those, both children and adults, who have experienced trauma. Trauma can show up in a lot of different ways and look like many things. In counseling, we can use a combination of CBT, solution focused, and problem-solving therapy, along with Motivational Interviewing, trauma therapies, and Play Therapy when appropriate. Your plan, developed in your words, will be a great road map for reaching your desired destination. I would be honored to walk with you along that path.
Seeking help reflects the courage and drive that you already have within you.
Hi! Are you feeling anxious, confused, depressed, or struggling with life in other ways? My name is Alyce and I offer person-centered therapy in a safe space for you to be heard. I like to focus on individualized treatment based on you and your needs rather than cookie-cutter therapy.
I have over 20+ years counseling experience with diverse populations and like helping others as I was helped earlier in my life.
As a licensed professional clinical counselor based in Ohio with over two decades of experience, I’m here to offer support for those wrestling with anxiety, alcohol and drug addiction, depression, trauma, stress, relational, life , self-esteem and ADHD. I firmly believe in tailoring my approach to fit your unique needs because I understand that one approach does not fit all. Let’s work together to explore your concerns and find solutions that resonate with you on a personal level. Your well-being is my priority, and I’m committed to seeing you as a whole person, not just a list of issues.
Are you worried about your child or family? Maybe you’ve been carrying stress, anxiety, grief, conflict for so long that you barely recognize yourself anymore. You may have spent years trying to stay strong for everyone else while quietly struggling on your own. If so, you are not alone.
I offer a warm and supportive space where you can slow down, feel heard, and begin to make sense of what you’re going through without fear of judgment. With nearly 70 years of experience, I understand how deeply emotional pain, relationship struggles, family stress, loss, and life transitions can affect people.
I have extensive experience working with young people facing challenges such as self-harming behaviors, trauma, addictions, and family conflict.
I have worked successfully with adults navigating substance use concerns, chronic pain and other health difficulties, caregiver burnout, grief, various forms of loss, and major life transitions. I also support individuals struggling with stress, anxiety, emotional exhaustion, and long-standing patterns that keep them disconnected from themselves and others.
In addition, I work with couples facing communication difficulties, separation, infidelity, divorce and other challenges, as well as families dealing with parenting stress, illness, addictions, cultural adaptation, and significant life changes. I am able to support families with young children who are experiencing developmental difficulties, health challenges, or acting-out behaviors and I provide pre-marital counseling for couples who are about to tie the knot. Throughout our work together, I strive to help clients build greater self-awareness, strengthen relationships, develop healthier coping strategies, and move toward a greater sense of balance, connection, and emotional well-being.
Clients describe me as warm, accepting, validating, and easy to talk to. My goal is to create a safe and caring space where you feel supported, understood, and less alone as we work together toward healing, and meaningful change.
I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervisor designation (LISW-S) in Ohio and a Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work. I earned my Master’s degree from Case Western Reserve University and completed a Certificate in Sexual Health at the University of Michigan. I am currently pursuing an advanced Certificate in Problem Sexual Behavior. With 30 years of clinical experience, I bring a depth of knowledge and compassion to my practice.
My therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Interventions, and Holistic Coaching. I also utilize Affirmative Psychotherapy, meeting clients where they are and supporting growth at their own pace.
Clients often describe me as passionate, caring, and infused with a sense of humor—qualities I believe help foster a safe and collaborative space for healing and change.
