My name is Ashley and I have been a therapist for 11 years now. I enjoy traveling and spending time with my pets. Therapy has a lot to do with the bond between the therapist and the client. Change really can happen if the relationship is there. Most treatment methods can be fairly applicable if you develop that relationship. If you have found that to be a struggle in the past you may of had a bad connection with your therapist.
I received my Ph.D. in the Counselor Education and Supervision program at the University of Iowa in 2009. I also received a Master of Divinity degree with courses in pastoral care and counseling from Asbury Theological Seminary in 1995. I have approximately 25 years of counseling-related work experience in a variety of settings (college, schools, and community mental health settings). In addition, I have taught counseling courses in graduate mental health programs. I have worked with a variety of populations including children, adolescents, college students, and adults at various life stages, as well as couples, families, and groups. I am also trained to conduct a variety of assessments for learning disabilities, ADHD, personality disorders, mood disorders, and vocational/career interests.
Hello! Thank you for taking the time to read my biography. I am so happy you went with your instinct to start counseling. I have been a Therapist for over 17 years and my specialization is marriage and family therapy. I have over 30 years experience working with people in one capacity or another. I was a substitute teacher at an alternative high school; I was a silver star rescue diver and an EMT-Intermediate; and, I had worked at a psychiatric hospital for people ages 12 through 80 as well in a private psychiatric office. These few noted experiences have led to my capacity to be an empathetic Therapist while helping others achieve their own goals using their own strengths.

Therapy is the most effective when you feel genuinely connected to the person walking along side you. I take pride in meeting clients where they are, no matter the chapter of life they’re in. I strive to offer both stability and flexibility, recognizing that the world can feel overwhelming at times, but together, we can make it feel more manageable.
Hi! I’m Jada, a licensed therapist dedicated to helping individuals feel more grounded, confident, and emotionally balanced in their daily lives. I specialize in working with high-functioning people who may appear to have everything together on the outside, yet internally feel overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally drained.
I understand how easy it can be to get stuck in cycles of overthinking, people-pleasing, and constantly prioritizing others while neglecting your own needs. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling exhausted, uncertain, or disconnected from themselves, and are ready to make meaningful changes.
My approach is warm, supportive, and direct. I aim to create a space where you feel comfortable being open and honest, while also helping you challenge patterns that no longer serve you. I believe therapy should not only provide insight but also offer practical tools you can apply in your everyday life.
I am passionate about helping my clients build healthier boundaries, improve their relationships, and strengthen their sense of self so they can show up more confidently and intentionally in all areas of life.
I’m a trauma-informed therapist who works with women, nonbinary clients, and couples who are tired of simply holding everything together and want to feel more connected to themselves and their lives. Together, we’ll look honestly at the patterns, expectations, and experiences that shaped how you learned to cope and what you may want to do differently now. My approach combines honest reflection with practical tools to help you understand the patterns that shaped you, build greater self-trust, and create meaningful change that feels sustainable and true to who you are. I offer body-positive, LGBTQ+ affirming, and anti-oppressive care.
