What would your life be like if the things that are causing you problems weren't so much of a problem? How much better would your daily life be if the raging wildfire of debilitating emotions and thoughts inside you was reduced to a birthday candle?
Whether our work together is addressing years of trauma that impacts your present day or brief, solution focused interventions for a problem that requires decisive action; we will count on years of experience and training to help us navigate the issues you face. Together, we will identify your strengths, cultivate them, and work to set you up for a life of continued success using your definition of what success looks like TO YOU. After all, it's your life and you are the expert in how to best live it.
My career has been dedicated to helping others, especially those who have struggled with trauma disorder, such as PTSD. For the last three years I have specialized in working with children and teens in the Kentucky Foster Care system. Before that, I spent years working with adults, teens, and children in the outpatient clinical setting, veterans in transitional housing shelters with trauma and substance use disorders, children and adolescents in a psychiatric residential treatment setting, and as a case manager linking families to needed resources. Now, I have decided to use my skills in private practice to focus on helping my fellow Kentuckians, especially those in Appalachia, have access to high quality care that they don't have to leave home to access.

Hi! My name is Lana and I have been a LCSW since 2011. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. I specialize in issues of adjustment, trauma, depression, anxiety, crisis, grief, child and adolescent behaviors, and sexual abuse. I also have experience with talking with individuals with mood and personality disorders, PTSD, and issues surrounding divorce.
On a more personal level, I enjoy traveling and refer to myself as a coffee connoisseur. I also have two small dogs that think they run the world and like to introduce themselves from time to time in my sessions. I always have a plan but I believe some of life's greatest adventures are in taking the scenic route.
Mrs. Whiteside has worked in various mental health settings maintaining her unwavering focus on mothers and small children. Hello!! And, Welcome! Looking forward to meeting you!! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I am licensed in Kentucky, Indiana, Kansas, Maine, Utah, and Nevada. I received my Masters from Western Kentucky University, and have been practicing for 30 years.
I help individuals, and couples to overcome "old programming", develop new and healing ways to see themselves and life, and utilize places of self-empowerment. Helping to increase one's relationship with oneself helps one to have greater relationships with others, and all other parts of life.
I am a licensed therapist with over 14 years of experience, certified in advanced psychoanalysis and trained in trauma informed care. My approach is warm, collaborative, and rooted in deep respect for each other's unique story. My name is Michael Starr, and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. I believe therapy is more than just problem-solving, it’s a place to rediscover who you are, heal what’s been hidden, and move forward with clarity and strength. I work with individuals, couples, and families facing anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, identity questions, and emotional overwhelm.
My style is honest, grounded, and deeply respectful of the human experience. I use evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Trauma-Focused CBT, but I also hold space for what cannot always be explained, your story, your meaning, your growth.
Clients often come to me feeling stuck, disconnected, or unsure of how to move forward. Together, we uncover the patterns keeping you there and build the insight, skills, and resilience to move through them. You won’t be rushed or judged. You’ll be heard, supported, and challenged when needed.
You don’t have to have all the answers. You just have to be willing to start. Healing begins with one honest conversation, and I’m here to take that step with you.
You can love someone deeply and still recognize that the way you're being treated isn't okay. You can care about others while also learning to care for yourself. Together, let's figure out what's happening, understand why it's happening, challenge the patterns keeping you stuck, and identify what you can actually do differently.
Hi there! My name is Dr. Jess Priode (pronounced "Pray-dee") and I believe every person's story deserves to be met with compassion, respect, and understanding. With nearly two decades of experience in the mental health field, I help individuals navigate relationship challenges, anxiety, stress, depression, grief, family conflict, boundaries, self-esteem, and life transitions.
I welcome clients from diverse backgrounds and recognize that our identities, cultures, and environments can shape how we experience relationships, stress, and the world around us. I strive to approach each client with cultural humility, curiosity, and respect, rather than making assumptions about what your journey should look like.
Life and relationships can be overwhelming. Maybe you're feeling anxious, emotionally drained, stuck in a relationship, struggling to set boundaries, or simply unsure of what comes next. Therapy can provide a space to slow down, gain clarity, understand the patterns keeping you stuck, and develop healthier ways of responding to yourself and the people around you.
You deserve a space where your story matters and where you don't have to lose yourself to take care of everyone else. If you're ready to better understand yourself, strengthen your relationships, and feel more confident navigating life's challenges, I'd be honored to walk alongside you.
It's okay to not be okay, and I am so proud of you for putting in the research to find a therapist who is a good fit for you. A little bit about myself, I was raised in Lexington, KY and after living in Western Kentucky for 11 years, I have returned home to my roots. I graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Masters in Social Work and have worked as a psychotherapist in community mental health, private practice, and assisted care facilities. I would describe myself as quirky, direct, and compassionate. I am a mom of two boys who are my absolute world.
I absolutely love my job and love working with people to improve their mental health and overall quality of life. You deserve to be heard, believed and encouraged. Giving therapy a shot can feel intimidating but also life-changing and if you're still reading this, I hope that you will consider booking an appointment with yours truly :)

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and create meaningful, lasting change. I provide a supportive and collaborative space where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while building practical coping skills. My approach is client-centered and goal-oriented, meeting you where you are while helping you move toward where you want to be.
The one question I get most often by clients and peers is: Why did you go into the counseling profession? My response is always the same. First, I have always had a desire to help people in a time of need or distress. I have felt this way as far back as high school. Secondly, I went through a debilitating anxiety disorder in my mid-twenties. I know first-hand the helplessness and desperation mental and emotional pain causes. I never condone a therapist sharing with a client, they know how the client feels unless they themselves have experienced a similar type of pain. Lastly, I believe in the power of counseling and the benefits it can offer. Counseling is very different from medicine. Counseling requires the client to be actively involved in the process of healing and growth rather than taking medication and waiting for it to work. Counseling empowers a client to by allowing them to see their progress towards the life they desire on a daily, weekly, and even monthly basis.

I would love to help you learn healthy coping skills to effectively get through struggles you may be going through. Your "someday I will work on reducing my anxiety" can start today by booking your first therapy appointment to gain healthy coping skills.
I work with adults through individual therapy seeking support for everyday challenges such as stress, work-life balance, parenting challenges, relationship concerns, ADHD, emotional regulation. depression, anxiety, PTSD, career goal setting, communication skills, or life transitions to name a few.
