I have lived a long and colorful life. Like everyone else, I've made good and bad choices and learned from each. I have 22+ years experience in the mental health and substance abuse treatment field. I DO NOT JUDGE, AT ALL, PERIOD. I can be both blunt and gentle as appropriate. My role is to offer another perspective, a way to see life more fully and function better, no more, no less. I don't pretend to have all the answers but only one slice of wisdom. I just share what can help someone. Some people are not yet ready to be helped. Yet for those who are feeling lost on life's journey and are willing to listen and learn, I'm here to assist. My life work can be summed up in three words, "offering people hope. "
"The wound is where the light enters." - Jeladdin Rumi
"A coward dies a thousand deaths, a brave man only once." Martin Luther King Jr.
"Wouldn't take nothin' for my journey now." - Maya Angelou
"The past is gone, and there is left only a blessing." - Kahlil Gibran

My journey into counseling began after witnessing how military service affected the emotional well-being and relationships of someone close to me. Approaching those changes with compassion and curiosity led me to study human behavior, and since then I have had the privilege of supporting domestic violence survivors, individuals involved in the court system, outpatient community mental health clients, residents in substance use and personality disorder treatment programs, and military personnel during my own time in service. Today, I continue to build on that experience through specialized training in relationship issues, anxiety, depression, and trauma, creating a supportive space where adults can heal, strengthen relationships, and move toward the life they want.
Hi, I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and I believe therapy should be a place where you can show up as yourself, without judgment or pressure to have everything figured out. Life can be complicated, overwhelming, and sometimes downright frustrating. You don't have to navigate those challenges alone.
I work with individuals experiencing addiction, anger, anxiety, depression, self-esteem concerns, and life transitions. Whether you're struggling with difficult emotions, feeling stuck in unhealthy patterns, or adjusting to unexpected changes, my goal is to help you better understand yourself and discover healthier ways to move forward.
My therapeutic style is warm, straightforward, and collaborative, with a little humor when appropriate. I believe meaningful growth comes from honest conversations, self-reflection, and sometimes being willing to see things from a different perspective. I'll listen, support you, and validate your experiences, but I'll also challenge you when needed. Sometimes growth requires stepping outside your comfort zone, and I'll be there to support you through that process.
I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and supportive therapy into my work. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Together, we'll identify your goals, recognize your strengths, explore patterns that may be holding you back, and develop practical strategies you can use in everyday life.
Therapy isn't about being perfect or having all the answers. It's about understanding yourself, making intentional choices, and learning how to navigate life's challenges with greater confidence and resilience. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable being honest, asking questions, laughing when appropriate, and celebrating your progress. You don't have to know exactly where you're going to take the first step. We'll figure out the direction together.
To overcome a disability that occurred in 1999 and severely damaged my spinal cord, I began to build a stronger relationship with God. Although I was bound to a wheelchair, this relationship did not bind me to depression and anger and gave me what I needed to live through my daily struggles.
In turn, I felt encouraged to gain medical and spiritual knowledge to help others achieve this same triumph. Through years of practice and sharing testimony, I have been able to touch many and be changed in the same way through each experience. I not only aim to help people put their pieces together, but look to be touched as well by their stories and refine my own pieces as well.
Faith-building exercises such as gratitude, encouragement, self-love, and confidence building are rooted in my practice for a happier and healthier you. The spiritual exercises that have helped me during my process were prayer, meditation, reading scriptures, and discussing my concerns with God-fearing counselors.

Hey there! I'm glad you're here. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor who believes therapy should feel like a genuine conversation, not just a series of questions. Hi! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in the greater Atlanta Metro area. I received my Masters from Northwestern University and have been in the mental health field for over 20 years. I work collaboratively to help adults and couples uncover their greatest strengths in pursuit of addressing conflicts and overcoming obstacles to healing and growth.
Hi, I'm Ashley, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Reiki II practitioner. I believe that somewhere underneath the anxiety, the self-doubt, and the patterns that keep repeating, there is a version of you that already knows the way. My job isn't to fix you. It's to create a space steady enough that you can actually hear yourself. Together we get curious about the thoughts that won't quiet down, the emotions that feel bigger than the moment, the behaviors that keep showing up even when you don't want them to, and what all of it is actually trying to tell you. I utilize a holistic approach, bringing tools into our work that help you understand what's happening in your mind and body when you're overwhelmed, so you can actually do something about it instead of just surviving it. But more than any method or modality, I show up as a real person walking alongside you, trusting that you are the expert on your own life. If you're ready to listen to that wiser part of yourself and create meaningful change, I'd be honored to walk with you.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. For more than twenty years, I’ve worked with adults, teens, and families facing trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship struggles. My main orientation is Internal Family Systems (IFS), which I use to help people understand and heal the protective and wounded parts of themselves. I also integrate attachment-based and emotionally focused approaches to strengthen how clients relate to themselves and to the people who matter most.
I come to this work as both a professional and a person who’s lived through many of the challenges my clients face. I’m a parent who knows the daily strain of trying to be present for your family when you’re already running on empty. I’m a trauma survivor who understands what it’s like to rebuild trust in yourself after being hurt. I’ve dealt with painful medical conditions that have tested my patience, resilience, and faith in the system. I’m a husband in an interracial marriage, which continually deepens my understanding of identity, perspective, and what it means to hold space for difference with love and respect. And I’ve been both a therapist and a client, so I know how vulnerable it can feel to sit in that chair and hope the person across from you really gets it.
Because of those experiences, very little shocks me and nothing makes me see you as “less than.” I don’t view trauma, pain, or mistakes as signs of weakness — they’re evidence of survival. My job is to meet you there with honesty, compassion, and respect, and help you find your way forward at a pace that’s right for you.
I'm glad you are here. I am a licensed therapist, with certification in marriage and family therapy. I have over 15 years of clinical, therapy, and leadership experience.
I have provided therapy services to clients in a variety of settings, which allows me to bring a unique perspective to the therapy experience. I have worked with clients struggling with issues ranging from mild daily stress to severe complex mental health and substance abuse challenges in a variety of settings, including behavioral health hospitals, emergency rooms, medical hospitals, and outpatient therapy settings. My background also includes administrative and supervisory roles. I served as the lead therapist and supervisor for over 12 years at the largest behavioral health hospital in Georgia, providing services to clients, as well as supervising other therapists, social workers, and hospital staff.
I provide therapy services to adults and couples. I work with a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, grief, OCD, relationship issues, LGBTQIA+ challenges, addiction, anger management, social anxiety, life transitions, family conflict, ADHD, pet loss, trauma, and more.

I'm Jeff, an LCSW and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC), and I founded Rogue Sun Counseling & Consulting to work with adults navigating trauma, substance use, or both. Before launching this practice, I served as Clinical Director at a residential addiction treatment center and later as Executive Director at two wellness centers, where I oversaw clinical programming for hundreds of clients working through substance use disorders, trauma, and the broader mental health challenges that often accompany both. That experience shaped how I practice now: I don't assume every client's story fits a single mold. Some clients come to me specifically for trauma, with no history of substance use at all. Others are focused entirely on changing their relationship with alcohol or drugs, with no significant trauma history to speak of. And some are working through both, where one has clearly fed into the other. My job is to figure out how I can best meet you where you are, drawing on years of leadership in addiction treatment alongside trauma-focused clinical work, rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach to every person who walks through the door.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Counselor Educator & Supervisor specializing in racial and health equity for Black, and Indigenous, and People of Color. With over a decade of direct care in behavioral health and two years of experience in research, I aspire to adapt therapeutic approaches to effectively treat diverse populations; Understanding cultural, historical, and societal factors that shape the human experience, our sense of being, meaning and purpose, and relationships is core to my clinical approach.
Clients can expect to learn about and explore all aspects of their identity. They exercise autonomy as a means of being empowered to promote equity in the therapeutic relationship and in our sessions. Clients can anticipate that I as a counselor will seek to learn about and incorporate aspects of their culture to be both informed, sensitive, and to exercise humility. We will collaborate to develop and refine treatment goals, constantly seeking to incorporate client's individual strengths and when available, collective strengths of those they have relationships with. I will strive to assist all clients in self-actualizing, identifying meaning, and creating innovative solutions to achieve purpose.
If you are paying cash or out of pocket, please book your appointment. I offer a sliding scale fee based on income (starting at $40/session) and special rates for students ($25/session). Please inquire if you believe you meet these qualifications.
I specialize in helping women heal from PTSD and complex trauma, particularly those struggling with self-esteem, self-worth, and relationship challenges. Trauma can shape how you see yourself and others, but healing is possible—you don’t have to carry this alone.
Using a compassionate, structured, and trauma-informed approach, I integrate:
✨ TF-CBT & CBT – Reframing painful experiences and shifting unhelpful thought patterns.
✨ EMDR – Helping your brain naturally process and heal from trauma.
✨ IFS – Understanding different parts of yourself with curiosity and compassion.
✨ Gottman Method – Strengthening communication, trust, and emotional connection.

I am a proud native of Decatur, GA, with a deep-rooted passion for helping others navigate life’s challenges. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Human Services from Shorter University and my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University. With over a decade of experience in the mental health field, I have had the privilege of working with individuals, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds. Hi, I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Georgia. I received my Master's from Mercer University in 2017 and have been working in this field for 7 years. I help women from all walks of life find their purpose, improve their self-worth, and learn how to cope with various issues. I am committed to meeting my clients where they are and helping them get a different perspective on their life.
My name is James Fetner, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I work with children, teens, and young adults outside of Grow, though on here I am open to all ages. I graduated with a Master's of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2019 and have been practicing since, except during a year and a half period where I was unable to work due to long-Covid.
I specialize in addressing trauma, depression, anxiety, anger, and ADHD. If you read my whole bio and think I may be a good fit but these are not your areas of need, or you have one or more of these in addition to another diagnosis that I have less, but still some, experience with (bipolar, substance use, OCD, etc), feel free to reach out anyway to discuss or schedule an intake if you like.
I am a licensed clinical social worker specializing in the treatment of trauma. I have experience working with adults who are survivors of complex trauma and suffer from depression, anxiety, and addiction.
My approach is strength-based and client-centered with modalities from Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I believe most people stagnate in change because they are afraid and don’t know what to do. Many clients have told me they “feel like they are going crazy.” I am here to tell you that you are not crazy. Your mind and body are reacting to a traumatic event, and many things you do to cope with that event are to help you deal with the trauma, “normal responses to an abnormal situation.”
My approach is simple: break down the problem into parts and gradually work on “unpeeling the layers.” This process is not easy and is often painful. However, it will be worth it because you will experience a freedom you never knew was possible. I want you to learn to thrive and live a full life instead of just surviving daily.
I graduated from Berry College with my Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2003 and Kennesaw State University with my Master’s in Social Work in 2014. I have 22 years of mental health experience in inpatient and outpatient settings.

To support that growth, I use active, directive, and challenging interventions designed to help clients develop the skills to ultimately help themselves.

Hi there!
I'm a therapist who specializes in helping people overcome people-pleasing tendencies and trauma. You might be tired of constantly putting the needs of others before your own, feeling like you're never enough, or struggling to set healthy boundaries. It can be overwhelming to navigate these challenges on your own, but together, we can work towards building your self-esteem, creating space for your own needs, and developing new ways of communicating with others.
If you've experienced trauma, it can be difficult to trust others and feel safe in your everyday life. You might be struggling with anxiety, depression, or other symptoms that make it hard to move forward. I want you to know that healing is possible, and you don't have to go through this alone. Using evidence-based therapies like Brainspotting and Internal Family Systems (IFS), I can help you process your experiences, reduce distressing symptoms, and move towards a more fulfilling life.
Hi, I’m Brittany, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker passionate about helping adults who feel overwhelmed, disconnected from themselves, or weighed down by the demands of daily life. If you’ve ever felt like you’re constantly juggling responsibilities, work, relationships, family, and personal expectations, yet still feel like you’re falling short, you’re not alone. Many people carry the invisible load of pressure, self-doubt, people-pleasing, and perfectionism while quietly struggling beneath the surface.
My work centers on supporting individuals who are tired of feeling like they are just going through the motions. You may find yourself constantly questioning your decisions, experiencing anxiety, or feeling disconnected from who you are outside of your roles and responsibilities. I am passionate about helping clients slow down, step out of autopilot, and reconnect with themselves in a meaningful way.
In therapy, we work together to identify and shift patterns that may be keeping you stuck, such as difficulty setting boundaries, people-pleasing, or engaging in unhelpful thought patterns. I support clients in building self-awareness, developing healthier coping strategies, and strengthening self-trust and confidence. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs and goals.
You deserve a space where you can feel supported, understood, and free to explore what’s beneath the surface. Therapy is not about “fixing” you. It is about helping you reconnect with your strengths, gain clarity, and move toward a life that feels more balanced and aligned with who you are.
If you are ready to begin the process of healing and growth, I am here to support you every step of the way.

Teenage years are stressful on the teen and the family. Is your teen having a hard time making healthy choices? Are they angry for no apparent reason? Is your teen a bully or are they being bullied? Parenting a teenager is difficult. I also specialize in counseling teens that identify as LGBTQ+.
It can get better, with the right help. I’ve been working with teens for many years and I know how tough it can be on the teen and the parent. Imagine your teen being able to communicate their thoughts/feelings without anger or resentment. I can help you build trust with your teen and communicate without arguing in family counseling.
My name is Keith Lisenbee. I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with a variety of clinical and management experience spanning nearly 30 years. My specialties include working with individuals with issues related to major life changes, depression, anxiety, addictions, career challenges, forensic and legal cases, and life crises. I went to school in Virginia and now I live in Georgia with my wife, son, and dog.
I am a warm, compassionate, and person-centered therapist who believes that every person is innately worthy and deserving of growth, healing, and acceptance. I strive to create a safe space where you feel seen, heard, and validated while also encouraging accountability and personal ownership. I believe therapy is a collaborative journey, and I will meet you halfway as we work together toward meaningful change.
I am a therapist that likes to actively build towards getting clients the changes they are seeking: To feel better emotionally, improve self esteem, see positive changes in their lives and relationships, to gain healing, and increase motivation. We will begin by talking and processing the issues and then figuring out what would be the most helpful approach to get started . I believe in listening to what my clients need and then developing an individualized strategy for each person with his or her input s the foundation. Clients would describe me as warm, open, and guiding ,while still leaving room for them to make the best decision for themselves, as well as affirming of who you are now, not who you can be. I take the approach, "You are not lost, you just need to know where to place your feet to keep walking forward." I ask lots of questions to create further exploration and insight using analogies that are easy to relate to. I also provide time for talking, because sometimes hearing yourself say it is the most valuable thing you can do. I believe that the client is the director of his/ her own life and the therapist is a facilitator to help them get to deeper truths within. I work with clients to uncover root causes and treat the deeper issues, not just the symptoms. We come away from sessions with a plan of action for improvement and more understanding about what is causing the blockage to begin with.
Welcome!!
I get it!! Some days life can feel overwhelming for various reasons and you may need someone to talk to. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I provide you with a safe, non-judgmental and supportive environment where you can talk through some of those feelings and emotions. My goal is to help you figure out how to live your best life.
I have over 20 years of experience as a social worker working with adults with various issues including, depression, anxiety, chronic pain, trauma, and relationship issues just to name a few. I use a therapeutic approach that is centered on your needs and goals. I provide an environment that enables you to be comfortable so you can have an open conversation. I am here for you!
I have found through many years of practice that everyone is unique and so are their needs. Therefore the way I conduct my sessions is centered around you and what works best for you. I get it, some days you don't want to talk about certain things or get "too deep". I meet you where you are. Life is a journey and I look forward to joining you on yours and we will go at your pace.
Are you searching for the golden path to peace? Let’s work together to achieve it. I am Dana, a realistic, solution based (LCSW) therapist focused on helping you develop skills on how to identify your unique qualities to develop the ability to manage anxiety, depression, anger management and other maladies. I am skilled in identifying and treating Anxiety, Grief, Depression, Self Esteem, OCD, ADD/ADHD, Women’s and Family and Cultural related issues.
We are disconnected - from each other, from the world, and from ourselves. Humans suffer profoundly when they can’t connect. Using Existential Therapy as a framework, I help clients navigate challenges regarding isolation, purpose, choice, and death in order to reconnect in healthy ways. A therapist acts as a mirror, not giving advice but helping you see yourself clearly and encouraging the self-respect that fuels healthy relationships. Provided the fit is good, trust is established, and you are motivated for change, therapy can be an excellent starting point for building the life you desire.
I practice primarily with individual adults but also groups. I also work with high-functioning teens who are motivated for change.
Virtual sessions upon request, in-person strongly recommended.

You wake up in the morning and wonder if today is the day you'll be exposed as a "fraud". Your twisting and turning on the inside. Everything inside you hurts. Your head is spinning with thoughts of what your life should be like. The voice's inside your head keep telling you you're a failure as a person, as a partner, and as a parent. You feel the the "weight of the world" pushing down on you. You're tired. You're tired of being tired. You are ready to reclaim your life. You are ready to make a change!

My learning and healing journey has been full of the unexpected and the changes have come in a variety of forms. Some I have savored, leaving me filled with a sense of wonder. Others have left me picking up the broken pieces, wondering in what possible way I might ever come back together again. I have been lucky, I think, to have the lens of Psychology to help me along the way. Along our way together I will offer this lens to you.
I didn't always know I wanted to be a therapist. Growing up in a household where mental health issues were present allowed me to see firsthand it's effect on individuals. After undergraduate school, I landed my first job in a psychiatric hospital. That's when things clicked for me, and I knew that I wanted to help people become their best selves. I had a natural curiosity to understand the world, how people think, and what drives human behavior. I also believe in the power of connectedness. All these things came together and pushed me to pursue my graduate degree in counseling. My experiences early on taught me that no one is perfect, we all struggle, and we all deserve grace. I am here to tell you that your story doesn't have to end where it is now. I aim to show that we are all resilient and have the ability to overcome challenges.
I am an experienced therapist who has worked with hundreds of individuals and couples, I offer an empathetic, collaborative environment for your journey towards self-improvement and a more fulfilling life. With a focus on couples, individuals and family therapy, I can assist you with a range of issues including depression, anxiety, transition, divorce, blended family dynamics, women's issues and more.
Hi, I’m Kelly Gorham, a Licensed Professional Counselor — and I’m so glad you’re here.
I know that reaching out for help takes courage, especially when life has been heavy. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, anger, grief, trauma, or PTSD, I want you to know that what you’re feeling makes sense given what you’ve been through — and healing is possible.
Over the past nine years, I’ve had the honor of walking alongside Veterans in crisis, as well as adults in both inpatient and outpatient settings through individual and group therapy. My specialization in crisis and trauma has taught me that many of the struggles we face today are rooted in experiences that once felt unsurvivable — and that with the right support, people are incredibly resilient.
My approach is warm, nonjudgmental, and paced around your comfort and safety. You don’t have to have it all figured out before you reach out. You just have to be willing to take one step. If you’re struggling, you don’t have to suffer in silence. I would be honored to help you find your way through.
Anxiety is a very powerful emotion. If you are struggling with constant worry, episodes of panic, fear in social settings, intrusive thoughts, or traumatic memories, you don’t have to navigate these issues on your own. In my practice, I focus primarily on helping adult clients cope with and overcome anxiety that has become unmanageable.
For many, seeking therapy can be a big step. I offer a warm and welcoming space to help you feel comfortable taking it. I invite you to face your fears, schedule the first session, and start the process of healing that you deserve.

As an LGBTQ+ ally, I am deeply committed to providing affirming care that honors your identity and ensures you feel valued throughout your healing journey.

My name is Lee Maxwell; a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and founder of Maximum Wellness, LLC. I have lived and worked in Metro Atlanta for over two decades. I grew up in rural Georgia; born to older parents who instilled in me the value of connection with others and treating others as I would want to be treated. I gained my passion for working in Geriatrics from my mother, who, on most Sundays throughout my childhood, would take me along with her to visit a local nursing home.
I obtained my undergraduate degree in Sociology from Georgia Southern University; followed by a graduate degree in Clinical Social Work from Savannah State University. I have been working in the field of mental health care for 25 years; 16 of which have been dedicated to providing psychotherapy services; primarily to a geriatric population. After working in senior living communities throughout the pandemic, I decided to afford myself the opportunity to work with a younger population; which I found to be refreshing and resulted in opening up my private practice to include services for all adults over the age of 18yo. I have been professionally licensed in the state of Georgia since 2009.

"One step, one step."
So, this is a phrase I often say. I use it as a reminder that we will move forward, heal, achieve our goals one step, one moment at a time. If we feel or see ourselves slip back....we reset. We move forward again one step, one step.
Wellness has always been a focus in my life's work. Whether you are an adult dealing with constant overthinking, or a teenager trying to navigate a world that feels incredibly stressful, I want you to know one thing: this is a space to be yourself. You do not have to perform here. You do not have to put on a brave face, use perfect words, or have anything figured out. You can just show up, vent, and let the walls down. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, and I have spent the last 10+ years working in community care, hospital crisis settings, and the juvenile justice system. Because of that background, I don't shock easily, and I won't panic if your life feels messy right now. I have sat with people through some of their darkest and most chaotic chapters. My goal isn't to judge you or give you a cookie-cutter lecture; it’s to provide a steady, calm, and grounded environment where you feel entirely safe. Whether you just need a dedicated place to talk, or you are ready to learn new ways to manage the heavy days, you don't have to do it alone. Let's get started.
