I have over 5 years of experience working in the mental health field. I have worked in a variety of settings and with diverse populations. I have worked with several non-profit organizations, in the school setting as a school-based therapist, in the child-welfare system and in private practice.

Making the first step to start therapy can be hard. It takes a great deal of strength, vulnerability and courage to get help. My first priority is providing a private, comfortable and compassionate environment where you feel at ease opening up.

I hold a deep respect for each person's unique story. I am passionate about supporting people in finding greater connections with themselves and those around them, and in being more present in their daily lives. Together we can craft an approach to counseling that works for you. I am a bilingual/bi-cultural therapist; able to do therapy in both English/Spanish. I am sensitive to inter-generational conflicts that arise due to acculturation issues. Therapy provides an opportunity to wonder about experiences, emotions, and desires that we may not otherwise have space to explore. This process can deepen our insight into the impact of personal history on our current behavioral and emotional patterns, allowing us a greater sense of self and choice in our lives and relationships. In the course of psychotherapy, we will create a space of non-judgmental curiosity, including space for creativity, playfulness, and humor. I help my patients develop and strengthen their ability to manage anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges so that they can live a more meaningful, mindful, and enjoyable life. I encourage my patients to work hard to grow and change, achieving the life they desire. I seek to develop a caring and supportive relationship with all my patients. You are a unique human being. I specialize in career counseling which includes executive and business coaching, career transitions/promotions, stress and time management skills, and interpersonal workplace issues. I also have significant experience addressing relationship issues, communication problems, anger management, conflict resolution, anxiety, and mood disorders such as depression.

I have over 25 years of experience working with clients to address concerns stemming from anxiety, depression, grief, family and relationship issues, career changes, and other various stage-of-life concerns. My clinical area of focus involves Anxiety Disorders, Depression, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Stress Management. Through discussion and exploration with you, we will develop a working plan to address your needs and goals.

I received a Bachelor's degree in Social Work in 2007 from the University of South Florida, and went on to receive my Master's degree in Social Work from USF in 2010. During that time I worked full time and interned working with clients that had experienced traumatic events - mostly sexual assault or abuse. Before starting my private practice, I worked as a school social worker with students ages 3-22 for 12 years, gaining my licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, becoming a qualified LCSW supervisor.
