My own experiences shaped my style as a therapist because I learned how valuable the connection formed through the therapeutic relationship can be. I am direct, yet compassionate and my clients know that I can be counted on to respond genuinely and allow them to feel understood. Together we will explore emotions and identify patterns of thinking and behaving that drive you using a strengths-based therapy style that focuses on lifestyle habits, self-care, spiritual connection, social support, mental and emotional health. Are you experiencing relationship problems, such as ongoing conflict, trust issues or feeling distant? If you are, there is help and hope. Through a process of improving your communication, learning how to have productive conflict resolution and improving the friendship and connection in your partnership; you can have a close, loving relationship. For couples, I will guide you through the challenges you face during various life transitions; a betrayal in the relationship, the challenges of having a blended family, going through a divorce, and co-parenting, as well as difficulties in getting on the same page.

As a therapist, I am someone who embarked on a unique journey that shaped my path in psychology. After serving in the army, I found a deep passion for understanding the human mind and behavior. This newfound love led me to pursue further education and training in psychology, ultimately guiding me towards specializing in marriage and family therapy. My own experiences of building and nurturing a family have influenced my focus on helping couples and families thrive. I understand the dynamics and complexities that arise within intimate relationships and the importance of fostering healthy connections. My goal as a therapist is to create a safe and non-judgmental space where individuals, couples, and families can explore their emotions, conflicts, and challenges. Having worked in the field for five years, I have gained valuable experience and expertise in helping clients navigate their relationship dynamics and personal growth. I am committed to normalizing emotions, recognizing that experiencing a range of emotions is a natural and essential part of the human experience. My approach is centered around placing well-being as a priority. I believe that when individuals prioritize their own mental and emotional health, they are better equipped to cultivate healthy and fulfilling relationships. I work collaboratively with clients, empowering them to gain self-awareness, develop effective communication skills, and implement strategies that support their overall well-being. Through therapy, my intention is to support clients in fostering stronger connections, resolving conflicts, and achieving personal and relational growth. I am passionate about helping individuals and families navigate life's challenges, providing them with the tools and support they need to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives.

Hello, I’m Dr. Cami, a psychologist providing telehealth services to adults in California. I am a native of the Central Valley in California and come from a diverse cultural community. I currently reside in the beautiful country of Norway and enjoy downhill skiing, hiking, gardening, traveling, and learning new languages. As a psychologist, I am passionate about helping individuals develop helpful strategies to effectively navigate their path and the roadblocks that may arise on their journey in life. Upon feeling effective, it is a beautiful experience to walk with the individual as they re-story past hurts, emotions, and experiences into a story of empowerment and growth. As a therapist, this is the gift of therapy: a transactional experience of growth in the therapeutic relationship in which both I, and the client walk along the path of reclaiming self-compassion and identity. In my work, I use warmth, humor, and a nonjudgmental approach to develop a strong alliance with my clients, grounded in authenticity and acceptance. I view therapy as a collaborative experience in which I encourage clients to approach challenges with curiosity and self-compassion. My clients have described me as open to learning and understanding their cultural values and beliefs, warm, easy to talk to, empathic and humorous in session. If I were to use one sentence, to sum up my view of a healthy therapeutic treatment experience, it would be: Therapy, in its purity, is a place where an individual is validated, supported, and empowered to thrive on their path in life.

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist. My passion for counseling started in 6th grade where I was nominated to be a peer counselor and I saw the power of how communication, active reflective listening and conflict resolution could shift relationships. I grew up in a chaotic household and studying psychology helped me to develop compassion, empathy and understanding where there was profound pain. My own experience with trauma, depression and anxiety helps me to understand clients from a lived perspective.

Being a therapist is a lifelong passion for me and is rooted in my dedication to supporting adults, children, families, and communities in building safety, resilience, and hope. My journey has taken me from my home county of Santa Cruz where I advocated and ran groups for youth living in situations including domestic violence from 2011-2013, to working as a shelter counselor in Oakland for youth 13-21 from 2016-2018. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I work with adults (no couples) and children who feel overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or disconnected from themselves. You may be doing everything you can to keep going—showing up for work or school, caring for others, and managing daily life—while quietly carrying anxiety, sadness, anger, or deep exhaustion. Sometimes your reactions feel bigger than expected. Sometimes life just doesn’t feel like it used to. I specialize in trauma-informed care and understand that these experiences are not signs of weakness. They are often signs that your mind and body have been working hard to cope. I believe healing happens when you feel safe, understood, and supported at your own pace. In our work together, I offer a calm and steady presence. Therapy with me is not about pushing you to “just move on” or forcing change before you’re ready. It’s about slowing down, listening to what your mind and body are holding, and creating space for relief and clarity. My role is to walk alongside you as you regain a sense of stability and reconnect with the part of you that holds resilience, strength, and the capacity for joy—even if that feels far away right now.

Are you stuck in conflict-with your partner, your teenager, a family member, or even within yourself? Do you find yourself questioning your worth, overthinking your relationships, or feeling overwhelmed with anxiety? You don't have to figure it out alone. Therapy can help you understand the patterns that keep you stuck and build healthier ways of connecting with yourself and the people you care about. I help teens and adults build confidence, manage anxiety, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful, lasting change. My approach is relational and trauma-informed, integrating mindfulness, CBT, DBT, psychodynamic and narrative principles to support insight, healing, and meaningful change. A bit about me...I became licensed in the state of California in 2011. Prior to that, I received a M.A. in Counseling Psychology from John F. With extensive experience as a therapist, my focus is on guiding individuals in developing healthy relationships both with others and themselves. Various symptoms, such as depression, anxiety, emotional instability, social anxiety, dissatisfaction, and fear of the future, often signal underlying relationship issues that significantly impact quality of life. I establish a safe, non-judgmental space where individuals and couples can openly explore their emotions and foster self-acceptance and compassion. This therapeutic journey is tailored to each person, utilizing a person-centered approach that empowers individuals to set their own treatment goals. My expertise includes enhancing empathy, unraveling complex relationship dynamics, improving parent-child interactions, nurturing intimate connections, and fostering internal well-being independent of external factors like people, status, finances, or life challenges. My path of personal transformation, coupled with my clinical and professional training, equips me to undertake this work effectively. With a down-to-earth demeanor, I easily connect with others, drawing from years of personal and therapeutic experience in this field. Reaching out for help can be a very vulnerable experience, but also a great attribute of strength and resilience. I work with individuals who have experienced trauma in their life. Whether it's from childhood neglect, sexual assault, natural disaster, sudden death or other life circumstances. Trauma often creates patterns and loops that extend into many areas of a person's life, and can be challenging and painful to navigate. Sometimes the way people survive their trauma brings them more pain, adds to the chaos, and reinforces negative beliefs that perpetuate the cycle. I work to empower clients to understand and alter unhealthy cycles to strengthen and better their lives. I am fluent in ASL American Sign Language and have worked with Deaf clients leaving domestic violence in both a shelter and outpatient therapy services. I have spent 2 years in correctional settings working with severely mentally ill patients and supporting their family members navigating having children with mental illness. I have also spent 2 years working with foster youth and foster parents in providing support to their placements, promoting healing and preserving relationships. Note that online scheduling is limited. Broader scheduling options will be available to regularly scheduling clients. Please also note that I do not provide opinions about disability or fitness to return to work or other activities for clients who are not well-established at the time that the request for such opinion is made.

Hello! I'm a Hmong-American therapist based in California with experience working with BIPOC and underserved communities of color. I also have experience working in Child Protective Services where I supported children and biological, foster, and adopted parents in the foster care system. I enjoy working with teens, young adults, and adults who may be struggling with depression, anxiety, relationships, or life transitions. My approach is empathetic and client centered. As needed, I also press and push for accountability to help clients work toward the change they desire.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a certification in perinatal mental health (PMH-C). I specialize in supporting individuals through pregnancy, postpartum, and the early transition into parenthood. My experience working with families in the NICU is what really sparked my passion for this work. I saw firsthand how overwhelming, emotional, and isolating that experience can be—especially for parents of medically fragile or hospitalized newborns. That work continues to deeply shape how I support clients today. I work with people navigating a wide range of perinatal experiences, including anxiety, depression, trauma, identity shifts, and the emotional challenges that can come with becoming a parent. This period of life can bring a lot of unexpected feelings, and it’s not uncommon to feel unsure, anxious, or unlike yourself. I also recognize that opening up during pregnancy or postpartum can feel especially vulnerable, particularly when there’s fear of being judged or not feeling like the parent you “should” be. Many people carry a lot silently during this time, and it can take real courage to reach out for support. I aim to create a space that feels steady, supportive, and grounded, where you can talk openly about what you’re going through without feeling like you have to filter or hold back. If you’re navigating a difficult pregnancy, postpartum experience, or early parenting challenges, you don’t have to go through it alone.

https://sherryyamlcsw.com Hi, I am a trauma consultant who graduated from the University of Southern California, with years of culturally diverse EMDR therapy experience since 2011. My expertise is to tailor research-supported EMDR therapy with highly successful expat, AAPI professionals (e.g. Journalists, Actors, Scientists, Corporate Leaders, Producers, First Responders) who experience a Medical Related Trauma, Fear of Flying, Stage Fright, Phobia, Unprocessed Grief, car accidents, wildfires, War Trauma or Cultural Issues. I received my trauma training at the National Center for PTSD and the EMDR Trauma Recovery Humanitarian Assistance Program. In our society, we overlook the necessity of trauma work for our highly successful leaders. Many of my clients come to me are specifically looking for EMDR therapy to resolve barriers so they can be a better leader and find a better work-life balance. Others come to me for EMDR therapy after they tried talk therapy for years and didn’t see the progress they hope for.

I am a Licensed California Therapist along with many other certifications so I may support clients on thier journey. I am trained, experienced and skilled in a variety of modalities aside from talk therapy. We will attune to methods that will be effective and gentle. On this platform I work with Adults and Parents through telehealth. Clients often, utilize other means of expression such as expressive arts, meditation , grounding, spirituality, writing, journaling and photo therapy technique. So often clients , have other ways of expression which I identify to possibly try out.

Hello, My name is Elizabeth, and my pronouns are they/them/elle. I am a bicultural nonbinary therapist. I have the most experience working with neurodivergent clients, anxiety disorders, self-confidence issues, and challenges around gender and sexuality. I use a very humanistic approach in my practice, and I am human with you in the room. You do not need to feel talked down to or be told what to do in therapy. You and I can work together instead, as I may be the expert in psychology, but you are the expert of your own life. You will be encouraged to use your own strengths to push through the hurdles and you can expect warmth from me throughout this process.

My name means “Light,” and my goal is to help you rediscover yours. As a BIPOC therapist, I bring a culturally sensitive, holistic approach to healing. Together, we’ll shed light on your challenges and explore compassionate, practical solutions to help you move forward. My work is rooted in the transformative power of mindfulness, spirituality, and self-awareness. I integrate psychoanalysis, faith-based counseling, and holistic healing to create a space where you can reconnect with your authentic self and cultivate resilience. I specialize in supporting adults facing anxiety, trauma, depression, and men’s issues. My approach blends psychotherapy with spiritual exploration and self-discovery — helping you realign with your purpose and inner peace. I believe every person holds untapped potential and innate wisdom. My role is to hold a nonjudgmental space where you can feel seen, supported, and understood. Through our work together, we’ll turn over the stones of your experience to reveal clarity, healing, and a renewed sense of direction. I’ve personally walked through profound loss and transformation — including a near-death experience and the passing of my beloved mother to cancer. These experiences deepened my faith in the human spirit and in our collective ability to heal and shine again. Wherever you are on your journey, I’m here to help you grow and remember who you truly are — a light meant to shine.
