Gracias por estar aquí, thanks for being here! It’s understandable to need support when you’re feeling overwhelmed by stress, anxiety, low mood, relationship challenges, or changes in your life.
La terapia puede ofrecerte un espacio seguro para hablar sobre lo que está sucediendo en tu vida y explorar estrategias que te apoyan.
Therapy can offer a space to better understand what you’re going through, learn ways to cope, and make changes that feel meaningful and manageable for you.
First session
In our first session, we’ll discuss what brings you to therapy and how it’s affecting your life. It may take one or two sessions for me to better understand your experiences and for us to develop a plan. Together, we’ll determine whether my approach is a good fit for your needs and identify next steps.
Strengths
My communication style is gentle, supportive, and direct while respecting your pace and boundaries. I’ll check in along the way and welcome your feedback so our work feels supportive and helpful to you.
Ideal clients
I have extensive experience supporting Latinx/e, first- and second-generation, and Spanish-speaking individuals. Balancing your own needs with family, cultural expectations, relationships, and responsibilities can sometimes feel overwhelming. Therapy can be a space to explore these experiences, better understand what you need, and find ways to create more balance while staying connected to the values and relationships that matter to you.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT helps you understand how your thoughts, emotions, and actions are connected. Together, we’ll notice patterns that may be making things harder and practice ways to approach them differently. You’ll learn practical tools to manage difficult thoughts and emotions that you can use in your everyday life.
Culturally Sensitive Therapy
Your culture, values, and experiences are an important part of who you are and can shape how you see yourself, your relationships, and the world around you. In therapy, we’ll make space to understand how these experiences affect you while honoring what matters to you. My goal is for you to feel understood, respected, and comfortable being yourself.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness can help you slow down and become more aware of your thoughts, emotions, and how they show up in your body. I’ll help you practice noticing these experiences without immediately judging or pushing them away. Over time, this can help you better understand what you’re feeling and respond in ways that feel more helpful in everyday life.
Compassion Focused
Compassion-focused therapy can help you recognize when you’re being hard on yourself and learn to respond with more understanding and kindness. This can make it easier to manage difficult emotions, reduce self-criticism, and feel more supported by the way you relate to yourself.
Brainspotting
I have completed Phase 1 training in Brainspotting, an approach that uses focused attention and body awareness to help explore difficult emotions and experiences. When appropriate, I may incorporate Brainspotting techniques to support emotional processing and greater self-awareness.
