Hi, my name is Olivia Raines, and I provide services in North Carolina (outside of Mecklenburg County) and Florida. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to helping individuals heal from painful life experiences, trauma, anxiety, depression, and substance use. I am passionate about helping others find healing and providing a safe space to share. I assist individuals in processing their experiences and work alongside them to promote wholeness. I provide a safe, therapeutic environment and employ a strengths-based, motivational approach. My practice focuses on individual therapy, specializing in anxiety, panic disorder, trauma, depression, relationship difficulties, and substance use disorder. I am trained in evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), to address trauma symptoms and other mood disorders. I look forward to serving your needs and helping you achieve optimal mental health.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions, and target specific areas to focus on in session.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I will assist with identifying the root cause of your challenges and create a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress. I use an action-oriented, non-judgmental approach to encourage individuals to discover self-acceptance and find solutions tailored to their needs and treatment plan goals.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilized Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as a tool for others to identify their childhood schemas and experiences to become aware of negative or inaccurate thinking so they can respond to challenging situations more effectively.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

I utilize CPT as a modality for individuals feeling "stuck" in their trauma narrative. This allows people to recognize how trauma has changed their thoughts about themselves, others, and the world. They learn to evaluate and change upsetting thoughts, and consider new, more balanced perspectives.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I utilize DBT as an intervention that helps people manage intense emotions and social relationships

Motivational Interviewing

I utilized Motivational interviewing as a technique that helps people find the motivation to change their behavior by resolving insecurities and ambivalent feelings. It's a short-term, practical, and empathetic process that acknowledges the difficulty of making life changes. MI is based on the idea that clients have the ability to change successfully and that their belief in their ability to do so, or self-efficacy, is necessary to instill hope.

Schema Therapy

Schema theory is a branch of cognitive science that studies how the brain organizes knowledge into mental frameworks called schemas. Schemas are clusters of knowledge or memory based on past experiences that help people interpret information, make generalizations, and guide their actions and understanding.
