I am a culturally sensitive, clinical social worker. I incorporate in my therapy holding a secure space for my clients to be their authentic selves, building trust for connection, security, and safety. I bring presence and awareness to the therapeutic process fostering hope, self-awareness, personal growth, and self-compassion. In the therapeutic process I help clients transform by cultivating healthier relationships with themselves and others.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session, I will conduct an initial assessment to better understand the client's background, mental health history, and goals for therapy. Clients will have the opportunity to ask questions and share their personal history in a warm supportive environment. The therapist will share about their background and approach to therapy. Client's will be informed about confidentiality.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a provider my greatest strengths are empathy, compassion, authenticity, and cultural sensitivity. I excel at creating a safe space for my clients to feel seen, heard, and valued. My ability to understand and relate to clients' emotions with authenticity fosters a supportive environment enabling me to connect with clients from various cultures, tailoring my approach to meet their unique needs.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize Cognitive Behavioral therapy and other evidence-based approaches to treat anxiety, depression, and Panic. Cognitive Behavior Therapy can help you learn to identify and change unhelpful thoughts, emotions and behaviors

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I Utilize ACT to help people focus on the present moment through mindfulness and acceptance strategies. ACT helps people learn coping mechanism to handle difficult experiences, accept their thoughts and feelings without judgment, and live out their values instead of their emotions. ACT allows people to focus their energy on healing rather than negative emotions

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I Utilize a culturally sensitive therapy approach to foster a safe environment where clients feel understood, respected, acknowledged, and valued. I tailor culturally Sensitive Therapy to each individuals' values, beliefs, and experiences making therapy more relevant and effective.

Attachment-based

I utilize Attachment-based therapy to help clients recognize how their early attachment relationships influence their current relationships and emotional responses, providing insight into their recurring patterns. The goal of Attachment-based therapy is for the clients to process and heal from past attachment-related traumas, leading to decreased symptoms of anxiety, depression, and relationship issues.
