New to Grow
Hello, I’m Trevana Eades, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I am passionate about helping individuals improve their quality of life and navigate challenges in a supportive, meaningful way. I enjoy traveling, self-reflection, and trying new experiences, which helps me bring an open and balanced perspective to my work. You have already taken the first step toward a better tomorrow, and I look forward to supporting you along your journey.
During our first session, you can expect a relaxed and supportive conversation focused on getting to know you. We will spend time discussing what brought you to services, any concerns you may have, and what you would like to work toward. I may ask questions about your background, daily routines, strengths, and any challenges you’re currently experiencing. This helps me better understand your needs and begin identifying goals that are meaningful to you.
I prioritize building genuine, trusting relationships and meeting each individual where they are. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor interventions to fit each person’s unique needs, strengths, and goals. I focus on creating a supportive and collaborative environment where individuals feel heard, respected, and empowered.
I am best positioned to support individuals who may be navigating challenges with emotional regulation, behavior, anxiety, or life transitions, and who would benefit from a supportive, structured approach. I focus on helping individuals build skills that promote independence, improve communication, and support overall well-being. I strive to create a space where individuals feel comfortable, understood, and supported as they work toward their personal goals.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
In my practice, I use CBT to help individuals identify unhelpful thought patterns, challenge cognitive distortions, and develop healthier ways of thinking that lead to more adaptive behaviors.
Culturally Sensitive Therapy
I recognize that each individual’s background, including their culture, values, beliefs, and lived experiences, plays a significant role in how they perceive and respond to services. In my work, I make a conscious effort to learn about and respect these factors to ensure that interventions are meaningful, appropriate, and effective.
Existential
I support individuals in reflecting on their choices, understanding how their perspectives shape their experiences, and identifying what gives their life meaning. I use open-ended questioning and guided discussion to help individuals explore themes such as freedom, responsibility, and self-awareness.
Grief Therapy
I provide a supportive space for individuals to express and process their emotions at their own pace. I use a combination of approaches, including psychoeducation about the grieving process, validation of feelings, and coping strategies to help manage intense emotions.
Trauma Informed Care
Trauma-informed care is a foundational part of my approach, as I recognize the significant impact that past experiences can have on an individual’s behavior, emotional regulation, and overall well-being. I approach each individual with the understanding that behaviors may be rooted in past trauma, and I prioritize creating a safe, supportive, and predictable environment.
