Hi there! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in North Carolina with licenses in both North Carolina and Virginia. I earned my Master's degree from Columbia University and have over a decade of experience in the social work field. I'm passionate about supporting people as they work toward their goals and grow into the best version of themselves.
In our first session, we'll start with brief introductions and talk about what brought you to therapy. I'll ask questions to better understand your current challenges, background, and goals, and you'll have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the process. We'll also go over what you can expect from therapy, and begin outlining a plan that feels supportive and fits your needs.
One of my greatest strengths is my kind, compassionate, and nonjudgemental approach. I create a space where people can feel seen, heard, and accepted just as they are. With experience working in a variety of settings and with diverse populations, I bring flexibility, cultural awareness, and a deep understanding of how to meet people where they are.
I love working with children (age 12+), young adults, and adults who are navigating life transitions, emotional challenges, or a desire for personal growth. People I work with are often insightful and motivated, but may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of how to move forward. They're ready to explore new perspectives, build coping skills, and create meaningful change in their lives.

In my practice, I create a safe and supportive environment by focusing on building trust, empowerment, and collaboration. I recognize the impact of trauma and intentionally avoid re-traumatization by promoting client choice, emotional regulation and resilience.
I focus on a person's strengths, past successes, and the outcomes they want to achieve. I use tools like the miracle question and scaling questions to help clients identify practical steps toward their goals.
I include psychoeducation by helping people understand the psychological and physiological aspects of what they're experiencing. Whether it's explaining how anxiety effects the nervous system or how trauma impacts memory and behavior, I believe that informed clients feel more empowered and less alone in their struggles.
In my practice, I use mindfulness-based therapy to help people build awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations in the present moment. I guide them through practices like breath work, body scans, and mindful observation to reduce stress, improve emotional regulation, and foster greater self-acceptance.
