Hi There. I am Lindsay. Do you ever feel stuck? Do you find it hard to get motivated? We all need support at some point in our lives. I employ a holistic approach to help others heal from life transitions, grief, anxiety, depression, and trauma. Counseling can provide you with that support, a greater understanding of yourself and an opportunity to grow. I listen and empathize with individuals to foster a safe space to share life difficulties. I will use various approaches such as holistic and supportive techniques that are tailored to what works best for you. Together we will develop solutions to help you feel better. I integrate a mind, body, and spirit approach with techniques that include meditation, relaxation and yoga. I am here to help you on your life journey!
In our first session we will be doing brief introductions and getting to know each other. I will explain the therapy process and expectations and provide opportunity for you to ask any questions.
I use various treatment methods that are tailored to what fits and works for you best. Treatment methods I utilize include integrative or holistic, cognitive behavioral therapy, supportive therapy, solution-focused and cognitive processing therapy. Examples of tools to expect include journaling, relaxation, guided imagery, problem-solving, thought-stopping, mood charting, and reframing.
My biggest strength is to help you find your strengths to use to your fullest potential. I am a strong communicator and available for you to speak what is on your mind. I will ask you questions if I need clarification and ask what is important to you. I will help you process what you are thinking and feeling and do so in a way that is compassionate and non-judgemental. I tailor therapy to the individual and collaborate on what strategies will work best for you.
