Hello! I'm Tomeka, a licensed professional counselor & certified rehabilitation counselor with over 8 years of dedicated experience serving individuals in Alabama. My practice focuses on providing affirming, culturally sensitive therapy and advocacy for the LGBTQ+ community and people with disabilities. I received my master's from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. I believe in a client-centered, strengths-based approach that empowers individuals to navigate life's challenges-whether related to identity, mental health, disability adjustment, or societal barriers. I really appreciate Tomeka. She made me want to continue to try and get some normalcy in my life. She made me feel heard. She gave me great feedback back and suggestions. She was very understanding and made me feel like there is hope.
