I am a Licensed Clinician Social Worker based and licensed in Pennsylvania. I received my masters in Social Work in 2019 from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. I have been practicing for 3 years. I have additional knowledge and training in addressing common sexual and intimacy challenges. I love working with folx who are at a crossroads in their life. My specialty is in helping people through life transitions, sexual exploration, anxiety, stress management, communication, balance in life, and strengthening connection with oneself and others.
In our first session together, we'll start with introductions, cover expectations in therapy, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions. Ultimately, my goal is to learn and get to know you! I will follow your lead in diving as deeply as you feel comfortable.
I am an eclectic therapist who "dabbles" with many different approaches and modalities of therapeutic care. This makes me adaptable to support you through reflection, providing psychoeducation and introducing tangible coping strategies. I am highly empathetic and compassionate. I am also firm in my approach by gentle challenging which my clients have found helpful in maintaining accountability in their goals.
I come from a strengths based approach which incorporates qualities, skills, and resilience that you already possess and continue to grow as a foundation of our work together. My goal is to support you in building and maximizing your strengths to cope with life stressors, build insight and achieve your goals.
Our relationships throughout our life time impact our relationships to others and ourselves. I use attachment based concepts for collaborative analysis of relationship behaviors and patterns that impact your relationship to yourself and experience in relationships. I also strive to build a secure attachment as a foundational intervention in our work together to be a base model for other relationships.
Compassion is a foundational and essential quality to the therapeutic relationship. I also work with clients to build compassion and grace for themselves.
I pull concepts, strategies and tools from CBT often as appropriate to client's goals and current stressors.
DBT has many useful and universally applicable tools and strategies for coping with a wide range of stressors. I do not teach DBT in a structured way, however I introduce various DBT skills and concepts as appropriate to client's goals and stressors.
