I am so honored and excited to have you in this space with me. Maybe you are looking for a therapist who can understand and relate to your experiences or maybe you are just simply looking for a nonjudgmental presence to walk along this journey called life. If so, then you are definitely in the right place. Let me share a little bit about myself. I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 15 years experience. I have worked in various non-profit settings including colleges, hospitals, military employee assistance program, and grass roots community organizations. I tend to utilize short term problem resolution and cognitive behavioral therapy to help shape conversations related to anxiety, depression, stress management, life transitions, purpose, and career counseling. In addition, I also offer faith based counseling utilizing biblical principles to address spiritual concerns (if you so desire).

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session with one another I will be asking questions to get to know you as a person. You are the expert of your own life and your lived experiences and we are both equals in the therapy room. Together, we explore your concerns, areas of improvement, and strengths. As we progress in the therapeutic relationship, I will be providing practical homework assignments. The homework given will relate to topics discussed during the session to reinforce reflection and assist with the development of coping strategies.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I tend to utilize short term problem resolution, cognitive behavioral therapy, strength-based, and motivational interviewing.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Some of my strengths as a clinician is that I am personable, encouraging, practical, and resourceful.
