My name is Adam Karazuba and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Over the past 20 years, I have had the pleasure of working with a variety of populations. I have worked with all ages, from children to adults in number of clinical settings, including outpatient, inpatient and residential. My professional career has providing individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy and group facilitation.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, my hope is I can provide a space where you feel comfortable to share more about the reasons you are coming to therapy and we develop the initial plan around your goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having over 20 years of experience, I am comfortable with the discomfort necessary to make significant, meaningful and long-lasting changes. I work to find the underlying causes, identify patterns and challenge the thinking and behaviors that have provided emotional distress in the client's life.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Working with clients to better understand how their unhealthy, negative and often times overwhelming thoughts impact mood, behavior and decision making. We will work to identify the underlying sources and develop strategies to reestablish a sense of control over our maladaptive thoughts.

Positive Psychology

Developing a shift from the negative to a more optimistic view on self and experiences. With a focus on strengths, positive psychology works to enhance the quality of relationships, build on what went well each day and allow growth to happen in the midst of negative experience.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution Focused therapy will work with you on what your goals are, identify your strengths to needed to meet those goals and develop/implement the strategies to achieve those goals. Solution Focused work often involves taking small, meaningful steps to achieve the larger, long-term goal.
