I began my journey to private practice working in a school setting with students while also conducting monthly family sessions with them and their families. I enjoyed working on communication strategies and parenting skills.
I chose to complete a certification in grief therapy as I believe loss and grief is the basis for why people seek out a therapist.
As my experience and career have grown I better understand how anxiety can be debilitating and new ways to help clients using CBT skills. First session
Our first session will consist of conducting an assessment that covers your thoughts on why you are seeking therapy, other modalities you have experienced, what worked and what didn’t. We will cover family history and discuss current symptoms.
Strengths
My greatest strength as a provider is my ability to listen and empathize. I have raised 3 adult children and been a military wife for 20 years. I am well versed in life transitions and coping skills from personal experiences.

I enjoy working with clients that are open to the process of self reflection and self discovery.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I help clients understand how they are in control of their thoughts. We learn how to reframe negative thoughts and find solutions to managing negative self-talk.
Couples Counseling
I am currently working to complete Level 2 Gottman Couples Method. I enjoy helping couples communicate, compromise and work together to strengthen their relationship.
Grief Therapy
I enjoy helping clients walk through grief and loss. Everyone’s journey is different and it’s important to know that each journey is correct. I have completed a certification in grief therapy.
