New to Grow
Hi, I’m Jessica, a Licensed Professional Counselor who helps individuals navigate anxiety, OCD, and life transitions with clarity and confidence. I specialize in evidence based approaches like ERP, CBT, and IFS to help you break free from patterns that keep you stuck and build a life that actually feels good to live. My style is warm, real, and direct, so you will feel supported while also being challenged in ways that lead to meaningful growth.
Your first session with me is not going to feel stiff or clinical. It is a real conversation where you can show up exactly as you are. You do not need to have the perfect words or a clear starting point. I will guide the process in a way that helps things feel natural, not overwhelming. We will get into what has been weighing on you, but we are also going to start connecting the dots quickly. I will help you understand how your mind works, why certain patterns keep showing up, and what we can actually do about it. Expect a mix of being heard and gently challenged. I am not here to just nod. I am here to help you shift things. You will leave your first session with more clarity than you came in with, and usually at least one practical tool or mindset shift you can start using right away. The goal is for you to feel like this is not just a place to talk, but a space where real change starts.
What stands out about my approach is that it is both real and results driven. I am not just here to listen, I am here to help you actually change the patterns that are keeping you stuck. I blend evidence based methods like ERP, CBT, IFS, and ACT in a way that feels personalized, not textbook. That means we are not doing surface level work. We are getting to the root while also building practical skills you can use in your everyday life. Clients often tell me they appreciate how I balance being warm and supportive with being direct and honest. I will validate your experience, but I will also challenge the thoughts and behaviors that are holding you back. Therapy with me is active and engaging. You will not leave sessions wondering what we just talked about. You will leave with insight, direction, and tools you can actually use. The results I focus on are real life changes. Less overthinking, more confidence, reduced anxiety, stronger boundaries, and the ability to handle uncertainty without it controlling you. My goal is for you to not need therapy forever, but to leave feeling equipped to navigate life on your own terms.
My ideal client is someone who is ready for change, even if they feel anxious, overwhelmed, or unsure of where to start. You might be high functioning on the outside but struggling internally with overthinking, stress, OCD, anxiety, or feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve you. You are motivated to grow, open to learning new tools, and willing to step outside of your comfort zone to create real, lasting change. You may be navigating major life transitions, relationship challenges, or simply trying to feel more in control of your thoughts and emotions. I work best with clients who want a therapist that is both supportive and direct. I will meet you with empathy, but I will also challenge you in ways that help you break through cycles that keep you stuck. Together, we focus on practical strategies, deeper self understanding, and building the confidence to handle uncertainty rather than avoid it. If you are looking for therapy that is engaging, goal oriented, and actually helps you see progress in your day to day life, we will likely be a great fit.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
ACT is all about helping you stop fighting your thoughts and start living your life. Instead of trying to eliminate anxiety, overthinking, or painful emotions, we learn how to make space for them without letting them run the show. Think of it like turning down the volume on the noise in your mind so you can focus on what actually matters to you. Together, we’ll get clear on your values and build the confidence to take meaningful action, even when things feel uncomfortable.
Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)
ERP is the gold standard treatment for OCD and anxiety, and it is all about helping you take your power back. Instead of avoiding fears or getting stuck in cycles of reassurance and rituals, we will gradually face those fears together on your terms. You will learn how to sit with uncertainty, break free from compulsions, and prove to yourself that you can handle discomfort without it controlling your life. It is challenging, but it is also incredibly freeing.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
IFS helps you understand that you are not just one version of yourself. You are made up of different parts, and all of them have a story. There is the overthinker, the protector, the critic, the people pleaser, and none of them are the enemy. In our work, we will get curious about these parts instead of judging them, helping you heal the wounds underneath and reconnect with your core self, the calm, grounded version of you that knows how to lead your life with clarity and compassion.
Motivational Interviewing
Motivational Interviewing is a powerful, non judgmental way to help you tap into your own reasons for change. No pressure, no lectures, just real conversations that help you figure out what you actually want and what has been holding you back. Whether you are feeling stuck, unsure, or conflicted, we will work together to strengthen your motivation, build confidence, and move you toward change in a way that feels authentic and sustainable.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
Person Centered Therapy creates a space where you can finally exhale and be fully yourself with no masks and no judgment. You are the expert of your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you with empathy, honesty, and deep respect. In this space, you will feel heard, understood, and supported as you explore your thoughts and emotions, build self trust, and grow into the version of yourself that feels most authentic.
