Dr. Millian Okafor, DNP, has over 17 years of clinical experience, 7 of those years as an Advanced nurse practitioner. She earned a Doctorate in Nursing from South University, a Post Master’s Degree in Mental Health at Liberty University, a Master of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner and an Adult Geriatric Nurse Practitioner from South University Savannah, Georgia. I have extensive diverse experience working with various age groups. I have held various positions in hospitals in critical care units and worked in private practices in the community as a Nurse practitioner. Throughout my profession, I have always had a special interest in my patient's mental health, which has enabled me to render holistic and compassionate care to this population. I am focused on becoming a change agent to provide the best possible care to enable and equip patients to attain optimal mental health and wellness. I am family-oriented and believe in the importance and strength of family and the social support system. I deliver individualized, holistic care, combining evidence-based therapeutic interventions, medication management, and psychotherapy.

I strive to provide non-judgmental and empathetic evidence-based care to help patients regain control of their lives, fostering hope and facilitating their journey toward wellness. After every patient encounter, I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental, and therapeutic environment that supports open dialogue and active participation. After each visit, I expect the patient to gain a proper and clear understanding of his or her mental health concerns, the treatment options available and the available resources. I also provide ongoing supportive therapy, encouragement and counseling to the patient.
