As a therapist I believe that anxiety, depression, grief, chronic pain, and addiction hold profound lessons and opportunities for growth. Too often, we push away our deepest hurts, hoping symptoms will simply vanish. This can lead us to seek refuge in unhealthy coping mechanisms like substance use or isolation. However, awareness of our struggles marks the beginning of a transformative healing journey. By embracing the wisdom within us and connecting to something greater, we can learn to flow with life’s challenges. I want to invite you on a healing journey that allows you to grow, connect with self and others. I use CBT, NLP, Genograms, Family constellations and Brain Spotting to release, anxiety, grief, trauma and depression. These techniques help me look at the specific patterns in the family system and helps the client gain awareness of unconscious generational patterns that may be limiting clients in their relationships, health, or career. I’m here to help you navigate this path. Together, we can create a safe space for you to tune into your head, heart, and body. You’ll learn to: Increase and improve your overall health Develop empowering beliefs that foster freedom and choice. You will learn to set compelling and achievable goals and look forward to the future with enthusiasm.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will explore your past during our intake in order to identify problems that are getting in the way of you living your best life. Once we identify the problem we can create goals to create a new healthy future for yourself. We might create a genogram together to identify conflict in the family system and explore anxiety, addiction, depression, illness in the system.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have been training in NLP since 1997 and this is an amazing tool to help people by paying attention to unconscious patterns and beliefs that hold us back. By paying attention to what you say, see and feel in your body, unconscious patterns become clear and together we can create new healthy behaviors. I have trained in Family Constellations which is a process of looking at the entire family system and identifying family entanglements and hidden loyalties and bringing them into balance to settle the family system down. I have trained in Brain Spotting which is a wonderful way to identify and release traumas held in the visual field and the brain.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Some interventions I use are the use of Thought records: which is a way to evaluate the validity of a thought by gathering evidence for and against it Engaging in Behavioral experiments: A way to test out "what if" scenarios outside of your thoughts. Mindfulness meditation: This can help with depression, anxiety, addiction, and other mental illnesses Successive approximation: Breaking down large tasks into smaller steps Journaling: Writing down your thoughts over a period of time Relaxation exercises: Techniques to reduce stress and relieve pain Values clarification: A strategy to help identify your priorities in life Problem-solving skills: Learning to cope with difficult situations

Brainspotting

This is a brain body based therapy used to decrease and eliminate traumatic symptoms. Brainspotting is a form of therapy that aims to help clients process difficult emotions or traumatic experiences. In brainspotting, different eye positions help identify “brainspots” linked to certain experiences, emotions, or sources of distress.

Mind-body approach

Mindfulness through meditation and relaxation exercises help calm the nervous system and decrease anxiety, depression and grief. I use this to begin a session to help ground and sometimes ending with relaxation techniques.
