New to Grow
I am a compassionate and client-centered Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified School Counselor who works with children, adolescents, and young adults experiencing anxiety, emotional regulation difficulties, life transitions, and school or college related challenges. I use an eclectic therapeutic approach tailored to each client’s unique needs, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Reality Therapy, and Person-Centered Counseling. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where children, teens, young adults and their families feel heard, understood, and empowered. Through CBT, I help clients recognize and reframe unhelpful thought patterns, develop coping skills, and build emotional resilience. Using a solution-focused approach, I work collaboratively with clients to identify strengths, set achievable goals, and create practical strategies for success both at home, school, college, work and everyday life.
The first counseling session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a comfortable, trusting relationship. We will discuss the concerns that brought you or your child to counseling, review relevant background information, and identify strengths, challenges, and goals for treatment. I will also explain the counseling process, answer any questions, and work collaboratively with you to develop a plan that supports you or your child’s social and emotional well-being. The initial session is designed to help everyone feel comfortable, understood, and confident about moving forward together while establishing a strong foundation for future growth, progress, and success.
As a Certified School Counselor, I bring extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, and young adults with academic stress, anxiety, social challenges, and executive functioning difficulties. I am passionate about helping young people navigate life's transitions, build resilience, and develop the skills they need to thrive. Together, we work to strengthen self-esteem, enhance problem solving and organizational skills, improve emotional regulation, and build the confidence to successfully manage challenges at school, at home, and in their relationships.
I support school age children, adolescents, and young adults who are navigating anxiety, emotional regulation challenges, life transitions, and school or college related concerns. Together, we work to develop practical coping strategies, strengthen emotional regulation, improve attention and organizational skills, build self-confidence, and enhance problem-solving abilities. My goal is to help clients thrive academically, at home, and in their relationships while fostering resilience and independence. I strive to create a supportive, collaborative, and encouraging environment where each client feels understood, empowered, and confident in their ability to reach their full potential. *Please note: I do not provide services on this platform to clients experiencing self-harm or suicidal ideation. Your safety and well-being are my top priority. If you or your child are experiencing these thoughts, I encourage you to connect with a mental health professional on this platform who is equipped to provide this level of care, or to seek in-person support for immediate and comprehensive treatment. You are not alone, and help is available. Additionally, I do not work with court-ordered clients on this platform.
