I am a compassionate and client-centered Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified School Counselor who works with children and adolescents experiencing anxiety, ADHD, emotional regulation difficulties, and school-related challenges. I use an eclectic therapeutic approach tailored to each client’s unique needs, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Reality Therapy, and Person-Centered Counseling. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where children, teens, and their families feel heard, understood, and empowered. Through CBT, I help clients recognize and reframe unhelpful thought patterns, develop coping skills, and build emotional resilience. Using a solution-focused approach, I work collaboratively with clients to identify strengths, set achievable goals, and create practical strategies for success both at home and in school.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first counseling session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a comfortable, trusting relationship. We will discuss the concerns that brought you or your child to counseling, review relevant background information, and identify strengths, challenges, and goals for treatment. I will also explain the counseling process, answer any questions, and work collaboratively with you to develop a plan that supports you or your child’s social and emotional well-being. The initial session is designed to help everyone feel comfortable, understood, and confident about moving forward together while establishing a strong foundation for future growth, progress, and success.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

As a Certified School Counselor, I bring extensive experience supporting students with academic stress, social challenges, behavioral concerns, and executive functioning difficulties related to ADHD. I am passionate about helping young people strengthen self-esteem, improve problem-solving skills, and develop the confidence needed to navigate life’s challenges.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I support school-age children and adolescents who are experiencing anxiety, ADD/ADHD, school-related stress, behavioral concerns, and social-emotional challenges. I help children develop coping strategies, improve emotional regulation, strengthen attention and organizational skills, build self-confidence, and enhance problem-solving abilities to support their success at school, at home, and in their relationships with others. My goal is to create a supportive and encouraging environment where clients feel understood, empowered, and capable of reaching their full potential. *Please note: I do not provide services on this platform to clients experiencing self-harm or suicidal ideation. Your safety and well-being are my top priority. If you or your child are experiencing these thoughts, I encourage you to connect with a mental health professional on this platform who is equipped to provide this level of care, or to seek in-person support for immediate and comprehensive treatment. You are not alone, and help is available. Additionally, I do not work with court-ordered clients on this platform. To ensure I can provide the most thoughtful and effective support, I kindly ask that all intake forms be completed at least 6 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. If forms are not completed within this timeframe, I may need to reschedule or cancel the session.
