Hello, I’m Dr. Kim Morgan. I have a Doctorate in Psychology with a Specialization in Addiction. I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Pennsylvania. I have over 20 years of experience in the behavioral health field, with a career that began working with youth in the juvenile justice system—an area I continue to be passionate about today. In addition to my work in correctional settings, I have provided counseling in outpatient programs and school-based environments, supporting middle and high school students in the community. I am committed to creating a supportive, structured space where individuals can build insight, develop coping skills, and work toward meaningful change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In your first session, I will focus on getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. I will ask questions about your current concerns, background, and goals to help guide our work together. We will also review important information such as confidentiality, expectations, and the structure of sessions. This is a collaborative process, and you are encouraged to share at your own pace—there is no pressure to cover everything at once. I am looking forward to meeting you and working with you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I am intentional about establishing trust and rapport early in the therapeutic process, as I believe a strong therapeutic relationship is essential for meaningful progress. I’ve spent much of my career working with individuals who may be guarded or reluctant to engage, and I focus on building trust in a way that helps clients feel comfortable, respected, and willing to participate in the process.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My career has centered on working with males ages 13–45 experiencing substance use disorders, primarily within maximum-security and probation/parole settings, as well as in community-based care. I specialize in engaging individuals with complex presentations, including anger-related concerns and histories of violence—clients who are often considered difficult to reach in treatment. I also work effectively with women and have demonstrated strong outcomes across populations. My clinical experience includes individual, family, couples, and group therapy.
