I am a psychotherapist with the foremost goal of supporting people who are hurting and walk alongside those who desire to grow in their mental, emotional, physical, social, and spiritual well-being. I offer an integrative approach to therapy balancing active listening, reflection, feedback, problem-solving, homework, and goal setting. I believe understanding our past experiences can help us better understand our present and the decisions we make.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know each other and to understand what brings you to therapy. We’ll start by reviewing some basic information, and I’ll answer any questions you may have about the therapy process. We will discuss what has been going on recently, what has led you to seek support at this time, and your therapeutic goals. We will explore things together at a pace that feels comfortable for you. We may talk about current stressors, symptoms you’ve been experiencing, and any relevant background information such as relationships, work, school, or family dynamics and I'll seek to ask questions to better understand how you’ve been coping and what has or hasn’t been helpful so far. We will also begin discussing what therapy might look like moving forward, including how we might approach your goals.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I work with clients to integrate an approach that best fits their needs and therapeutic goals. I've found Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), as well as Narrative Therapy and Motivational Interviewing to be helpful approaches to a variety of client goals including anxiety reduction, depressive symptoms, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, strengthening executive functioning skills, mindfulness, and emotion regulation.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I’m best positioned to serve individuals who are looking for a supportive, structured space to better understand their thoughts, emotions, and patterns of behavior, and who are motivated to make meaningful change—even if they feel uncertain about where to start. Many of the clients I work with are navigating anxiety, overwhelm, intrusive thoughts, low mood, self-doubt, or difficulty managing stress. They may feel stuck in cycles of overthinking, avoidance, or self-criticism, and are often seeking tools to feel more grounded, regulated, and in control of their internal experience. I also frequently work with clients experiencing relational stress—whether in romantic partnerships, family dynamics, or friendships—who want to improve communication, strengthen boundaries, and better understand their needs in relationships. These clients are often trying to balance connection with autonomy and may feel pulled between guilt, responsibility, and self-advocacy.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my practice, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a structured, collaborative approach to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. We begin by identifying the specific concerns a client is experiencing—such as anxiety, intrusive thoughts, low mood, or patterns of avoidance—and then explore the thoughts and beliefs that tend to show up in those moments. A key part of this process is increasing awareness of automatic thoughts, especially the ones that happen quickly and often feel true without question. From there, we work together to examine how those thoughts influence emotional responses and behaviors.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) as a skills-based and structured approach to help clients build greater emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness. A core part of DBT is the balance between acceptance and change. In sessions, I work with clients to validate their emotional experiences as understandable and meaningful, while also helping them identify specific skills and strategies that can support change in how they respond to intense emotions, stress, and interpersonal challenges.

Relational

A relational framework views emotional distress and relational patterns as shaped and maintained through past and present relationships. In our work together, we may explore how early experiences, attachment patterns, and significant relationships have influenced how you understand yourself, others, and your needs in connection with people. This often includes noticing patterns such as difficulty trusting others, fear of rejection, withdrawal, or conflict avoidance.
