My name is Griselda Vega I am a first-generation Mexican American Bilingual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in Southern California, and working with clients statewide via telehealth. I have over 10 years working with adolescents, individuals and families. I am currently working in the education field and have worked in community mental health and enjoy working person centered, allowing you to take the lead in treatment and focusing on what you would like to process, manage and work on. My passion comes from helping you create awareness, understand your thoughts, feelings and behaviors. I specialized in Grief and Loss, Perinatal Mental Health, depression of various intensities, anxiety disorders, life transitions, parenting problems, domestic violence, and working with those who suffer from PTSD.
First off, I would love the opportunity to get to know you and would ideally like to get an idea of previous therapy experience to be able to gauge what might have been helpful and something that you may continue to want to incorporate into your sessions. I also want to be able to get to know your expectations for therapy specifically with some goals, whether short term or long term that you may have in mind.
I decided to become a therapist because I have always had a love for helping others, regardless of the setting they find themselves. It provides me the opportunity to offer compassion, inspire hope, and teach the skills needed to overcome challenges. I love seeing individuals become the best versions of themselves and make a difference in their lives.
I am passionate to work clients who have endured a loss in their lives, feel stuck or overwhelmed about how to move forward in their day to day. My clients are eager to improve, but don't yet have the tools needed to make this a reality.
I allow my clients to tell their story in a safe therapeutic environment and provide them with therapeutic interventions. Grief is a normal response to loss and am passionate in walking with you through the most difficult emotional times when everything seems like a blur.
I empower the clients to take ownership of their mental well-being allowing them to have control of the therapeutic process. I provide a safe space for clients to become more self-aware and find their own solutions.
