New to Grow
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience serving individuals and families in both private and community-based settings. I currently serve women who are seeking support in navigating depression, anxiety, grief, burnout, self-esteem, family and relationship issues. I am attentive to client's individual needs, providing a warm, holistic, person-centered space where clients feel heard, supported and connected. I primarily use CBT, talk therapy, and optional reading or writing exercises. We can certainly take a faith-based approach to therapy, connecting your goals and experiences directly to the Word of God together. My vision for the work I do is every client leaving session with their hope and confidence restored.
Our first session will center comfort, clarity, and building connection. We will go over all relevant information related to session and and clients will be able to share information about themselves and their goal(s) for therapy.
Clients I have the privilege of working with shows increased self-awareness, self-confidence and improved emotional expression.
Preferred clients are women 18 and older who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, women's issues or life transitions; individuals who are looking to increase their self-confidence, awareness and expression; preferred clients are goal/future oriented, motivated, and open to change; open to integrating Christian principles into the work we do; someone who may be grieving the loss of a loved one; a woman navigating the start/end of a romantic relationship, dating, navigating friendships, or relationships with family.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
Since starting in the field of mental health, I have always believed that every individual is an expert of their own life. Through Person-Centered Therapy, we will work towards self-trust, self-awareness and ultimately self-actualization. This is done by using our time together for expression, reflection, and self-exploration.
