Life can be challenging. I can help you work through these challenges. I can guide you to work out past experiences or current situations to make your life easier to manage and be rewarding. I provide several types of therapy to help clients of all ages. My background consists of getting my BS in education in 1994. I received by ME in Guidance in counseling in 1999. I gained my LPC in 2017. I was a teacher for 6 years and as a Guidance Counselor in elementary for 18 years. I have been a licensed counselor for 3 years. I am more experienced in working with children but enjoy working with adults of all ages. I would like to help clients reach positive healthy ways to handle life stressors and negative events that keep clients from being in a peaceful and balanced stage of life. Reaching out for help is the best thing you can do for YOU!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Crossing bridges counseling offers a pleasant area to be able to speak openly about issues you may be having. Therapist will be very welcoming and looking forward to helping you successfully work through areas that you were seeking to feel better about.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have had an extensive amount of training working with children in the elementary grades. In the last three years I have worked with children, adults, adolescents, and couples. I can honestly say that i enjoy all populations. I find my strengths are helping children, helping individuals through the grieving process. I am open to all populations and look forward to helping anyone.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I like to use cognitive behavior therapy to help clients modify their thought patterns to help change moods and behaviors. This kind of therapy helps to identify specific negative thought patterns and responses to challenging or stressful events or situations. This can be used for many diagnoses such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders and so forth I have seen success using this treatment method.
