I was born and raised in Texas. I love the Texas Summer nights and Autumn days. I grew up in a blended family of my mother, grandparents, biological brother, and many foster brothers and sisters. Let's just say things were always interesting, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. Those experiences helped shape who I am and gave me insight into a variety of people. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) and a Certified Sex Therapist (CST). I received a Doctorate of Education in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University. I have a Master of Education in Counseling and Human Development from Hardin-Simmons University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Abilene Christian University. When I'm not counseling, I love to read all things paranormal (i.e. vampires, werewolves, fae, etc.). I enjoy music, different forms of dance and fitness, cooking and eating new dishes, as well as, traveling. Also, I am one third of The RePsychled Podcast, which is a podcast that focuses on educating and bringing mental health awareness to minority communities in a down to earth way.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session is designed to be an introduction to what is bringing you to therapy. This sessions gives me the opportunity to hear your first hand account of your life and experiences, which establishes the foundation of setting your therapy goals and expectations.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe my biggest strength is creating a safe haven for my clients to truly be themselves and begin their healing journey.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

My theoretical approach includes Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy and Logotherapy, focusing on resolving cognitive, emotional, spiritual, and behavioral issues and facilitating individuals to lead more rational, productive, and fulfilling lives.

Sex Therapy

Sex therapy provides additional tools, skills, and exercises to aid clients in resolving intimacy related issues in their lives. I utilize it as a supplement to CBT and to provide a more well rounded approach to my clients needs.
