Hello, hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Florida where I graduated with my Master of Social Work degree from the University of South Florida. I have been working with clients since 2020 and enjoy providing a safe space for my clients to address their concerns while providing them with the tools they may need to empower them to grow.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our initial session I am seeking to understand your background and present symptoms. I will ask questions based off intake forms and will encourage you to ask questions of your own if needed. I may seek to understand you and your family's medical and mental health history; your current symptoms, coping skills, and who you rely on for support when needed. My goal is to get to know who YOU are as a person and to work on creating a treatment plan that will address your current concerns or stressors.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have worked in the medical and mental health field for 10 years serving at various capacities. I've gained experience working with diverse populations and have made connections in the community which support my practice and clients further. One of my greatest strengths as a provider is my ability to create a safe environment that allows clients to feel heard and supported regardless of the topic of discussion.

My treatment methods

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I enjoy incorporating mindfulness-based therapy in my practice when working with anxiety, anger or PTSD symptoms. These diagnoses cause physical responses in the body which can be targeted by this approach to help alleviate the intensity of symptoms. When working with clients, I provide education and coping skills that will help them recognize and manage their physical symptoms. I have incorporated this treatment method into my practice for the past 3 years and continue to learn new methods to share with my clients.

Attachment-based

Because we are all part of social networks and have been since birth, attachment-based therapy is an integral part of the experiences of my clients. I have incorporated this treatment method into my practice for 3 years and have seen clients respond positively to understanding why they remain in relationships or engage in certain behaviors within relationships. In my practice with clients, I encourage the client to share their developmental history and current experience within relationships. We then discuss how those earlier experiences have shaped how we think and behave in the present.

Gender-affirming therapy

I have worked with the LGBTQIA+ community for years and began practicing gender-affirming care the moment I began seeing clients 4 years ago. I provide my clients with a safe space to explore achievements and challenges without judgment. Recommendation letters for gender-affirming care can be provided and are discussed as needed on a case by case basis.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-focused Brief Treatment has been a treatment method I have used within my practice for the past 4 years. This approach allows my clients to set achievable goals using evidenced-based approaches. that we set and monitor for progress, adjusting goals as needed to ensure they are met.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have used CBT in practice for clients interested in addressing negative, unpleasant, or challenging thoughts which impact their behaviors for several years. I have seen this approach be helpful to clients struggling with anxiety, ADHD, depression, and PTSD. This approach allows my clients to identify maladaptive thoughts and how these further impact their thinking patterns and behaviors. We work to challenge these thoughts in order to change future behaviors.
