My greatest strength as a provider is my empathy, commitment to helping others heal, and flexibility in adjusting my plans to meet my clients' needs.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapeutic approach that focuses on the interplay between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Its primary goal is to help individuals identify and challenge negative thought patterns that contribute to emotional distress and behavioral issues. I provide a structured environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings in my practice. We start by identifying specific problems and setting achievable goals. Throughout our sessions, I introduce various techniques and skills designed to reshape negative thinking, enhance emotional regulation, and foster healthier coping strategies. So clients can significantly improve their overall mood and outlook. Additionally, I emphasize practical skills that can be integrated into daily life. This includes relaxation techniques, mindfulness practices, and practical problem-solving strategies that clients can apply outside our sessions. The ultimate aim is to empower individuals to take control of their mental health and make lasting changes that positively impact their lives. CBT is effective for a wide range of issues, including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety disorders, phobias, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), eating disorders, substance use issues, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). By working collaboratively, we can identify your unique challenges and develop a tailored approach that suits your needs.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

In my practice, I utilize DBT as a framework to help clients develop essential emotional regulation skills. By integrating these techniques into our sessions, I aim to empower clients to improve their overall outlook on life, foster healthier relationships, and enhance their capacity to cope with life's challenges. My goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel empowered to explore their emotions and make meaningful changes in their lives.

Christian Counseling

Christian counseling is a faith-based approach to therapy that incorporates Biblical principles to address emotional, mental, and spiritual needs. I provide a safe space for individuals to explore their spiritual concerns and issues. This form of counseling is designed for those in the Christian faith who want biblical principles to be integrated into their therapeutic process.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-focused brief therapy is a short-term approach that identifies achievable goals within 5 to 8 sessions. This type of therapy is effective for treating anxiety, depression, family conflict, and life transitions, as well as for individuals who need coping skills. I find this therapy particularly beneficial for those who want to build on their existing skills in a short timeframe. The primary focus is on finding solutions rather than dwelling on problems.
