I am a licensed clinical social worker with additional training in perinatal mood disorders and horticulture therapy. As a social worker, I consider the societal forces that shape your experiences, acknowledging the systems of power and privilege that contribute to pain and struggle.
My training is rooted in psychodynamic theories, anti-racism perspectives, and horticultural therapy (the healing nature of caring for plants).
Therapy is a space where you can share what may have only existed in your mind, and saying things out loud can be a powerful step toward change. I approach therapy session with hope and optimism.My goal is for you to leave reflective and empowered.
First session
In our first sessions, you can expect a supportive environment where I ask thoughtful questions to help you clarify your goals. I prioritize deep listening and understanding, believing this is key to transformation. My approach combines psychodynamic theory, anti-racism perspectives, and horticultural therapy (the healing nature of caring for plants). I’m trauma-informed and meet you where you are.
Strengths
Transition to parenthood is full of nuance and duality -- I feel passionately about providing support for all stages of this journey including pregnancy loss, fertility issues, first time pregnancy, perinatal mood disorders (depression, anxiety etc), and first time parenting.
