Hi, I’m Rose Adonis, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). I understand that reaching out for psychiatric support isn’t easy especially if past treatment didn’t help or left you feeling rushed or unheard. I take the time to slow things down, listen carefully, and understand what you’re actually experiencing. My approach to care is thoughtful, honest, and collaborative. I incorporate supportive therapy and psychoeducation into visits so you better understand what’s happening with your mental health and feel more confident managing symptoms outside of appointments. I believe care works best when you’re involved, so I explain options clearly, discuss benefits and risks openly, and welcome your input at every step. We make decisions together, at a pace that feels realistic and comfortable for you. I stay up to date with the newest medications and treatment options and thoughtfully consider them when appropriate, especially for individuals who haven’t found relief with standard treatments. My goal goes beyond symptom control, I want to help you feel more stable, more like yourself, and better supported in your daily life. I provide care in English and Spanish and offer both in-office and telehealth appointments to make care more accessible and flexible.
Your first visit is a chance for us to get to know each other in a comfortable, supportive space. We’ll talk about what has been bringing you in, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you hope to gain from care. There’s no pressure to share everything at once you’re welcome to go at a pace that feels right for you. I’ll ask questions about your symptoms, your history, and how things have been affecting your daily life. Together, we’ll discuss options for treatment and create a plan that feels realistic, collaborative, and tailored to your needs. You’ll also have time to ask questions, share concerns, and talk through any worries you may have. This first visit is about listening, understanding, and taking the first step toward feeling better while making sure you feel respected, supported, and involved every step of the way.
My approach is collaborative and individualized. Treatment is never “one-size-fits-all.” We work together to develop a plan that may include medication management, supportive therapy, psychoeducation, and lifestyle strategies that fit your real life. I take time to explain options clearly so you feel informed and confident in your care. Patients often notice improvements not only in symptoms, but also in clarity, coping skills, and overall quality of life. My goal is sustainable progress helping patients feel more balanced, empowered, and able to manage challenges long-term, not just in the moment.
I work especially well with individuals who have been struggling with depression that hasn’t fully improved with past treatments, including treatment-resistant depression. Many of my patients come to me feeling frustrated, discouraged, or worried because they have “tried many medications” and are still not feeling like themselves. I stay up to date with newer medications and treatment options and thoughtfully explore these when appropriate, especially for patients who have not responded well to traditional treatments. Care is always individualized, collaborative, and paced in a way that feels safe and manageable.

I know that coming to a psychiatric appointment can feel intimidating especially if you’ve tried treatment before and it didn’t help, or if you felt rushed or unheard in the past. My approach is different. I slow things down, listen carefully, and take the time to understand what life actually looks like for you. I believe treatment works best when you’re part of the process. I’m transparent about options, honest about what we know and what we’re still figuring out, and I welcome your input at every step. We make decisions together there’s no pressure and no one-size-fits-all plan. I also stay current with newer medications and treatment options and thoughtfully consider them when appropriate, especially for people who haven’t found relief with traditional approaches. My goal isn’t just to prescribe it’s to help you feel more stable, more like yourself, and more able to live your life in a way that feels manageable and meaningful.

Rose was very easy to talk to during the whole session. She has a sense of humor that made this appointment an easy conversation to be a participate. She seemed concerned about my issues and together came up with a program. She also suggested talking to a therapist with my issues and just to keep progressing with my life. Will catch backup in a month.

Rose is such a sweetheart. It didn't take long for us to find a medication that helped manage my adhd specifically one of my biggest symptoms, executive dysfunction! It was literally a night and day difference. If you are trying to avoid stimulants, Rose will help you find the meds that work for you:)

I cannot recommend Rose Adonis enough. From our very first session, she made me feel truly heard and understood. She has a wonderful way of providing support while also giving me practical tools to manage my mental health. I’m so grateful to have her as my psychiatrist! She is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and thorough in her approach to care. I’ve seen significant progress since I started working with her through Grow Therapy, and I always feel like I’m in the best hands.
