Hello and welcome! My name is Allisia Green, and I have been working in the mental health field for more than 13 years. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to support individuals in a variety of settings including extended day treatment programs, residential programs, school-based services, partial hospitalization programs, and outpatient therapy. These experiences have allowed me to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and better understand the many ways life challenges can impact emotional wellbeing. I also have specialized experience supporting individuals who have experienced difficult or overwhelming life experiences and understand the ways past experiences can continue to impact emotions, relationships, self-worth, and day-to-day functioning. My approach is trauma-informed, meaning I prioritize safety, trust, emotional regulation, and moving at a pace that feels supportive and manageable for each individual. My approach to therapy is collaborative, empathetic, and person-centered. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered in their healing process. At times, therapy may involve gentle challenge not to be difficult, but to help uncover patterns, explore root causes, and identify meaningful ways to move forward. Life’s challenges can sometimes feel like dead ends, leaving us feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of what comes next. I believe that with support, insight, and practical tools, difficult experiences can also become opportunities for healing, growth, and greater self-understanding. My goal is to walk alongside you as we work together toward meaningful and lasting change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, my goal is to help you feel welcomed, comfortable, and supported. We’ll take some time to get to know one another and talk about what brings you to therapy, along with any challenges, stressors, or goals that feel important to you right now. I may ask questions about your background, relationships, and the ways you’ve coped or found support in the past so I can better understand your experiences. There’s no pressure to share everything all at once and we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My hope is that, together, we can begin to identify what feels most important and create a path forward that feels supportive and meaningful to you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of the strengths I bring to therapy is my ability to create a space where clients feel both supported and gently challenged. I believe healing happens when people feel safe enough to be honest about what they are carrying, while also feeling encouraged to explore patterns, gain insight, and move toward meaningful change. My years of experience working across a variety of mental health settings have helped me develop flexibility, compassion, and a deep appreciation for the ways life experiences shape emotional wellbeing. I strive to meet clients where they are while also helping them recognize their strengths, build practical coping tools, and move toward the version of themselves they hope to become.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My practice is a good fit for young adults and adults who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, emotionally drained, or simply going through a difficult season of life. You might be navigating stress, anxiety, self-esteem struggles, relationship challenges, past difficult experiences, or feeling unsure about what comes next. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard and understood. Together, we can explore what’s been weighing on you, build practical coping skills, and work toward meaningful growth and healing at a pace that feels comfortable and manageable for you.

My treatment methods

Trauma Informed Care

I approach therapy through a trauma-informed lens, recognizing how life experiences and past stressors can impact emotional wellbeing, relationships, and coping. I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where clients feel empowered, understood, and able to move at a pace that feels comfortable for them.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients better understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify unhelpful patterns and build practical coping tools to support emotional regulation, stress management, and healthier ways of thinking.

Relational

I value the therapeutic relationship as an important part of healing and growth. I work collaboratively with clients to build trust, foster self-awareness, and explore patterns in relationships that may be impacting their emotional wellbeing.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I believe therapy works best when clients feel heard, respected, and accepted. I take a compassionate, nonjudgmental approach that honors each client’s unique experiences, strengths, and goals for therapy.

EMDR

I am trained in EMDR and thoughtfully integrate EMDR-informed approaches to support clients navigating distressing experiences, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and the lasting impact of difficult life events. I prioritize stabilization, coping skills, and readiness, ensuring treatment feels supportive, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s needs.
