Hello, Therapy is a place for healing, learning, and growth. I would describe myself as friendly and down to earth. I love to laugh and smile, but I also know when it's time to get focused. We all have unrealized pain that is playing in the background of our minds. Sometimes, that pain is triggered and moves to the forefront of our daily lives. It doesn't matter if the pain is old or new; it can demand your present attention. I don't mind walking with you through the unspoken events in your life. I would be honored to be a part of your journey towards healing.
In our first session, expect me to review your intake paperwork. I will ask clarifying questions to gain a better understanding of your history and current needs.
Therapy is based on trust and understanding. It takes time to form a therapeutic alliance between client and therapist. If we are not a match, I understand and don't want you to give up on finding a therapist who gets you. Grow Therapy has other therapists who are ready to help you.
I am positioned to serve clients who are feeling "stuck" and have a desire to move forward.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help a client sort out irrational thoughts and unrealistic rules that may be interfering with their ability to cope with life.
Grief Therapy
I teach clients to explore all areas of loss in they have experienced in life. One grieves the death of a person, and we also grieve major changes in our lives. Moving to a new city, switching jobs, loss of a home, getting married, or the end of a relationship can cause grief. I use therapy as a tool to teach the different stages of grief/loss we all experience.
Attachment-based
In therapy, I explore each client's pattern of connecting to people in their life. Once a client learns their own attachment style, they can communicate their preferred boundaries within a relationship.
