I am prepared to assist you in the areas of addiction, mood and anxiety disorders. I am further trained as a Clinical Pastoral Counselor. I am willing and able to address faith and spiritual issues as you would desire. I have worked many years within secular contexts so I will only address these issues as you request. I attempt to be accepting and nonjudgmental towards everyone.

I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to assist clients in the process of learning how to better manage their moods. I employ the tenets of active listening with which I integrate Unconditional Positive regard and Congruence. For my Christian clients I utilize Integrative Psychotherapy that utilizes evidence based psychological approaches, integrated with Biblical teachings.
My biggest strength is that I have worked in multiple contexts over the course of my career. I worked within the corrections context within the prison, half-way house and jail settings. I worked within the inpatient psychiatric hospital as well as the general hospital Emergency departments. I have 23 years of direct psychiatric outpatient experience. I am trained as a Pastor Care practitioner, in the specialized area of care for people within vocational ministry as well as their family members.
