About me

Hi there, I'm Leanda! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed School Social Worker. I obtained my masters of social worker in 2018, and have a bachelor's in Psychology. I have been in the adoption and foster care field for over 9 years, with 3 years in a school setting working with teenagers. I have training in Theraplay, Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I offer faith-based counseling with a variety of services in person near Noblesville, or online (in the state of Indiana) through this virtual platform. My therapeutic focus is in adoption, foster care, attachment, school-related issues and the "in-between young adult" dealing with depression or anxiety. Whether you're dealing with adoption, attachment, school, college, career, or cycles of anxiety and depression, I'm here to help! Seeking therapy can feel scary but you're making the right choice. You deserve a safe space to heal and grow. In our sessions together, I'll meet you with compassion and evidence-based techniques so you can overcome the hangups and habits holding you back. Let's work together!

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I believe in tailoring therapy to my clients needs. In my opinion, regardless of treatment needs, the approach in which therapeutic techniques are delivered is most important to patient success. I would describe myself as an optimist, but also a realist. I believe in a holistic approach. I am empathetic and a good listener. I strive to make my patients feel comfortable in the session.
