**Who I Am** I believe meaningful change happens when people feel safe enough to be honest about where they are while also feeling supported enough to move toward where they want to be. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and understood without judgment. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), I work with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, life transitions, relationship concerns, stress, self-esteem challenges, and emotional overwhelm. While I often work with individuals, my training as an LMFT means I naturally view people through a relational lens, recognizing how family experiences, important relationships, and life circumstances shape who we are and how we cope. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and practical. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and therapy is a partnership. Together, we'll identify what's keeping you stuck, build on your existing strengths, and develop realistic strategies that fit your life. I draw from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Collaborative Therapy, trauma-informed care, and mindfulness-based interventions when appropriate. I don't believe therapy is about having all the answers or telling you what to do. Instead, I work alongside you to better understand your experiences, recognize unhelpful patterns, develop healthier coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change. Whether you're navigating a difficult season, healing from past experiences, or simply trying to become the version of yourself you want to be, you don't have to do it alone. My hope is that every client leaves therapy feeling more confident, more resilient, and better equipped to face life's challenges with practical tools and a deeper understanding of themselves.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

**What to Expect in Your First Session** Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if it's your first time. My goal is to make the process feel as comfortable and welcoming as possible. During our first session, we'll spend time getting to know each other. I'll ask questions about what brings you to therapy, what challenges you're currently facing, and what you hope to accomplish. We'll also talk about your personal history, relationships, strengths, and any past experiences with therapy that may help guide our work together. This first session isn't about having all the answers or sharing everything at once. You are welcome to move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Building trust is an important part of the therapeutic process, and we'll work together to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and respected. By the end of our session, we'll identify your goals, discuss what therapy may look like moving forward, and develop a plan that is tailored to your unique needs. My hope is that you'll leave with a better understanding of the process, a sense of direction, and the confidence that you don't have to face life's challenges alone.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

**Strengths I Bring to Therapy** I strive to create a therapeutic environment where you feel safe, respected, and genuinely heard. I believe a strong therapeutic relationship is one of the most important factors in creating meaningful change, so I focus on building trust while providing both compassion and honest feedback. Clients often appreciate that I am approachable, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I balance empathy with practical problem-solving, helping you gain insight into patterns that may be keeping you stuck while developing realistic strategies you can use in everyday life. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), I bring a relational perspective to my work, helping clients understand how their experiences, relationships, and environments influence their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, I work to understand the bigger picture and help you build on your existing strengths and resilience. Above all, I want therapy to feel like a partnership. My role isn't to tell you how to live your life, but to walk alongside you as we identify your goals, overcome obstacles, and create lasting, meaningful change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

**My Ideal Client** I enjoy working with adolescents and adults who are ready to better understand themselves and make meaningful changes in their lives. My ideal client doesn't have to have everything figured out—or even know exactly where to start. They simply have a willingness to explore their experiences, learn new skills, and work collaboratively toward their goals. Many of the clients I work with are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, life transitions, relationship challenges, stress, low self-esteem, or feeling overwhelmed by the demands of everyday life. Some are processing difficult past experiences, while others are trying to manage current challenges or break patterns that no longer serve them. I especially enjoy working with clients who value a collaborative approach to therapy. I believe lasting change happens when we work together to identify strengths, increase self-awareness, and develop practical tools that can be applied outside of our sessions. Whether you're seeking support through a difficult season or striving for personal growth, I aim to provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you can feel supported while working toward the life you want to build.

My treatment methods

Couples Counseling

**My Approach to Couples Counseling** In couples counseling, I work with both partners to better understand the patterns that have developed in their relationship rather than determining who is right or wrong. My role is to create a balanced, supportive environment where each person feels heard while helping the couple identify unhealthy cycles, improve communication, and strengthen their connection. Using a collaborative and evidence-based approach, I help couples develop healthier ways of communicating, resolving conflict, rebuilding trust, and navigating life's challenges together. We explore how each partner's experiences, beliefs, and relationship history influence their interactions, while focusing on practical skills that can be applied outside of therapy. Whether you're facing ongoing conflict, communication difficulties, life transitions, parenting challenges, or a desire to reconnect, therapy provides a space to better understand one another and work toward shared goals. My objective is to help couples build healthier relationship patterns, deepen emotional understanding, and make intentional decisions about the future of their relationship.

Family Therapy

**My Approach to Family Therapy** Family relationships can be a source of both strength and stress. In family therapy, I work with families to improve communication, strengthen relationships, and better understand the patterns that may be contributing to conflict or emotional distress. Rather than focusing on one individual as the problem, I help family members explore how each person's experiences, roles, and interactions influence the family system. Together, we identify strengths, increase understanding, develop healthier ways of communicating, and build practical strategies for resolving conflict and supporting one another. Whether your family is navigating parenting challenges, adolescent concerns, life transitions, blended family dynamics, communication difficulties, or ongoing conflict, my goal is to create a safe, respectful environment where every member has the opportunity to be heard. Through a collaborative approach, we work toward healthier relationships, stronger connections, and lasting positive change.

Gottman method

**My Approach to Gottman Method Couples Therapy** I have completed **Level II Gottman Method Training**, an evidence-based approach to couples therapy grounded in decades of research on healthy, lasting relationships. In my work with couples, I use Gottman Method principles to help partners strengthen friendship, improve communication, manage conflict more effectively, and rebuild trust and emotional connection. Rather than focusing on blame or determining who is right or wrong, we work together to identify the patterns that keep couples feeling stuck and develop healthier ways of interacting. Couples can expect a collaborative, structured approach that includes learning practical skills to improve communication, increase understanding, navigate conflict, and strengthen the foundation of their relationship. Whether you're working through recurring disagreements, rebuilding after a difficult season, or simply wanting to strengthen your relationship, my goal is to help you create a healthier, more connected partnership built on mutual respect and understanding.

Narrative

**My Approach to Narrative Therapy** Narrative Therapy is based on the belief that people are more than the problems they face. Rather than defining yourself by anxiety, depression, trauma, or other challenges, we work together to separate the problem from your identity and explore the strengths, values, and experiences that make you who you are. In our work together, we'll examine the stories you've developed about yourself and how life experiences, relationships, and circumstances have shaped those stories. We'll identify patterns that may no longer serve you and begin to build a new narrative that reflects your resilience, abilities, and hopes for the future. I use Narrative Therapy in a collaborative and respectful way, helping clients gain insight, recognize their strengths, and develop a greater sense of empowerment. My goal is to help you move beyond feeling defined by your struggles so you can create a story that aligns with the life you want to live.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

**My Approach to Solution-Focused Therapy** Solution-Focused Therapy is a strengths-based approach that helps clients identify what's working, build on their existing abilities, and create meaningful change. Rather than spending all of our time focused on problems, we also explore your successes, resources, and the progress you've already made. Together, we'll identify clear, achievable goals and focus on practical steps that move you toward the life you want. I'll ask questions that help uncover your strengths, recognize exceptions to the challenges you're experiencing, and develop realistic strategies that fit your unique circumstances. I often integrate Solution-Focused Therapy with other evidence-based approaches to provide a balanced treatment plan. My goal is to help you leave each session with greater clarity, renewed confidence, and practical tools you can begin using right away.
