I’m a licensed clinical mental health counselor. My approach is warm, person-centered, and grounded in empathy, honesty, and collaboration. I work with individuals and couples navigating life transitions, trauma, grief, anxiety, relationship issues, and identity-related challenges. My goal is to help each client feel seen, supported, and empowered to make meaningful changes. With over a decade of experience, I specialize in trauma-informed care, drawing from Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I’m also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which allows me to help clients process and heal from past trauma in a safe and structured way. Before counseling, I worked in nursing, where I saw firsthand the impact of unaddressed emotional pain. That insight continues to shape my commitment to holistic, compassionate care. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready to grow, I’m here to walk alongside you with curiosity and care. At R&R Counseling, I strive to create a space where you can breathe, reflect, and take steps toward the life you want. Therapy isn’t about fixing you, it’s about rediscovering your strength.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, it’s all about getting to know each other. This is your opportunity to learn more about me, and for me to understand a little about you. Our conversation will be a two-way street, ensuring that you feel empowered to express yourself openly and ask any questions you may have. My goal is to help you develop a sense of comfort and trust from the very beginning. I understand that sharing personal details with someone new can be daunting. Rest assured, I respect the fact that you might not be ready to disclose everything right away. You will never be blindsided with difficult questions. Instead, we’ll take things at your pace, focusing on creating a safe and supportive environment where you can feel heard and understood. By the end of our session, my hope is that you will feel more at ease and confident in our therapeutic relationship, setting the foundation for meaningful and productive work together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

As your counselor, my goal is to create a space where you feel completely safe, supported, and understood. I bring empathy, honesty, and compassion into every session, so you can explore your thoughts and emotions without fear of judgment. What sets me apart is my ability to truly connect. I listen with care and help you feel seen and heard. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, grief, relationship challenges, or just feeling stuck, I’ll meet you where you are and walk alongside you. Together, we’ll create a plan that’s tailored to your unique needs, one that focuses not only on immediate relief but also on long-term growth and healing. My approach is collaborative and empowering, helping you gain insight, build resilience, and develop tools to move forward with confidence. You don’t have to figure it all out alone. I’m here to help you take that next step, with kindness and purpose. Let’s work together to create the change you’re looking for.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am here to support clients who are ready to take steps towards positive change, even if it means taking a leap of faith. If you are open to engaging in meaningful conversation, completing homework assignments, and committing to the process, you are the right client for me. I promise to be fully present and dedicated to your growth as long as you are willing to show up for yourself. For parents, I am best suited for those who are willing to actively participate in the counseling process and trust it. I understand that inviting another adult into your child’s life and, by extension, into your home can be challenging. To make our partnership successful, both you and your child need to be open to building trust and working together as a team.
