Do you feel overwhelmed with life, with yourself and can't seem to organize your thoughts/worries? I am a strength based clinician with a specialty of working with women who are struggling with low self-esteem, anxiety and depression. I love helping women feel centered, present in their lives and help them to identify ways to care for themselves in mind, body and spirit. As a practitioner, I believe we all are encouraged to pursue things based on thought. Challenging negative thoughts and understanding them is a critical part of your journey. To believe every thought that enters your mind could be debilitating, and I work to identify which thoughts are causing strife in your life. The client is able to explore their conscious thoughts with my guidance in a safe, non-judgmental space. There is a lot of mindfulness work done, how to stay in the present, allowing clients to work through issues that are impacting their lives. I specialize in working with adolescents and adults, especially the family as a whole. My goal is to create hope and coach you through challenges that exist. My work also entails working individually with adults who are looking to increase self-esteem, which may stem from poor body image or past trauma. The connection between mind and body is crucial, so exploring how we care for ourselves directly connects to how our body and mind feel. I will help you expand your mind and work at its best potential by finding solutions, so you are more grounded in life on your own and with your family.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session you could expect for introductions, explanation of my role and qualifications. We will explore further what you hope to attain from therapy. I will also emphasize the importance of confidentiality and what that looks like. The first session is primarily an opportunity to get to know each other and understand your concerns. This will involve gathering information about your background, current situation, and any relevant history. This helps me better understand your unique needs and challenges. I also want to highlight that therapy is a collaborative process, and YOUR input is crucial in shaping the direction of treatment. I hope you come in ready to ask any questions and share any concerns you may have. This is a no judgment zone! It's okay to experience a range of feelings during therapy, and I will be there to support you.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

CBT - identify thoughts/triggers/stressors that may cause us to feel and behave in a way that is not aligned with out goals/values. DBT( dialectical Bx therapy) - to help understand and accept your difficult feelings SFBT (solution focused behavioral therapy) Addresses positive areas in one's life help us remind ourselves that we could get through things by reminding ourselves of times when things were going well. Mindfulness- staying in the present moment is key. Connecting with the mind and body is practiced. Certified integrative mental health professional - as a CIMHP allows me to help you understand the importance of food choices & nutrition as it relates to symptoms. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) in training - helps to heal from trauma or distress.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strengths are helping clients connect to the mind and body. Once we understand how to gain control of our thoughts and control of how we care for our bodies there is more ability to address and confront our stressors.
