New to Grow
Welcome! I am glad you are here. Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, and I appreciate the courage it takes to begin. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood and empowered. Together, we will explore the challenges you or you and your family are facing, build on your strengths, and work toward meaningful, lasting change at a pace that feels right for you and/or your family. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, life transitions, or simply seeking personal growth, I look forward to partnering with you on your journey toward greater well-being.
In that first session we will talk about what brings you to therapy, what you hope to gain from the process, and any questions or concerns you may have. I’ll also gather some background information to better understand your needs and goals. There is no pressure to share everything at once—this is your time, and we will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My goal is to help you feel heard, understood, and supported as we begin working together toward meaningful change and greater well-being.
Meaningful healing happens when people feel seen, heard, and accepted. One of my greatest strengths is creating a calm, compassionate space where you can show up exactly as you are. I am comfortable sitting with difficult emotions without rushing to fix them, offering steady support while holding space for your experiences. You will be met with empathy, respect, and be compassionately challenged through unhelpful patterns, encouraged with new perspectives, and offered thoughtful feedback to help move toward your goals. My approach is collaborative, balancing acceptance with accountability so that you feel both supported and empowered to create lasting change.
My ideal clients are teens 15+, adults and families who are ready to better understand themselves and create meaningful, lasting change. They may be navigating life transitions such as career changes, relationship challenges, divorce, grief and loss, or other significant shifts that leave them feeling uncertain or overwhelmed. They may also be struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, or difficulty balancing the many demands of life. Many of my clients come to therapy wanting a supportive, compassionate relationship where they feel safe exploring their experiences while also receiving honest feedback, gentle challenges, and practical tools they can apply in their daily lives. They value collaboration, are open to self-reflection, and are willing to examine patterns that may no longer be serving them. Together, we work to build insight, strengthen resilience, and create meaningful changes that align with their values and the life they want to live.
Compassion-Focused Therapy helps clients develop a kinder, more supportive relationship with themselves. Together, we explore how self-criticism, shame, and difficult life experiences may be influencing your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Through mindfulness, self-compassion, and practical strategies, you’ll learn to respond to life’s challenges with greater understanding, resilience, and emotional balance. This approach isn’t about avoiding difficult emotions—it’s about meeting them with compassion so you can move forward with greater confidence and self-acceptance.
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy is a strengths-based approach that focuses on identifying what’s working and building on your existing abilities rather than dwelling on problems. Together, we’ll clarify your goals, recognize your strengths and successes, and develop practical, achievable steps toward the changes you want to make. This approach emphasizes hope, resilience, and the belief that even small changes can lead to meaningful progress.
I use an eclectic approach to therapy, meaning I draw from a variety of evidence-based treatment methods to meet your unique needs, goals, and experiences. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor therapy by integrating techniques from different therapeutic models to create a personalized plan that best supports your growth and healing. This flexible approach allows us to adapt as your needs evolve throughout the therapeutic process.
Trauma-Informed Care recognizes the impact that past experiences can have on your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and overall well-being. In therapy, I prioritize creating a safe, supportive, and empowering environment where you feel respected and in control of your healing journey. Together, we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable, focusing on building trust, developing coping skills, and fostering resilience while honoring your unique experiences.
