Hi there, I’m Jennifer Rios a bilingual LMFT that began my clinical experience in 2017. My clinical background consists of community mental health as well as private practice by helping children, teens, and adults learn ways to cope with Anxiety, Trauma and Depression. Currently, my practice is aimed at helping adults through life's challenges by building insight, learning skills and making changes to assist them in reaching their treatment goals. As an LMFT I aim to work collaboratively with clients to empower and uplift them to cope with the challenges presented. I offer a safe, supportive, and objective environment to help you address the challenges that we are presented with. When you are ready we will work together in building a therapeutic relationship and help you reach your treatment goals by learning skills to gain insight, manage symptoms, and obtain coping skills that will be helpful beyond your therapy journey. *Please note that I do not provide opinions about disability or fitness to return to work or other activities for clients who are not well-established at the time that the request for such opinion is made.
In our first session, you can expect an intake assessment to be completed in an effort to identify areas of needs and strengths. We will then check in and determine if we are a good fit in working with one another. If so, we will collaborate on a treatment plan for selecting objectives for treatment while building our therapeutic relationship.
As a therapist, I have found to be most successful in working with motivated clients who are looking to receive support and learn skills to help them cope and manage symptoms attributed to Anxiety and Trauma. I have experience in parenting support as well as LGBTQA+ and Intergenerational Trauma.
young adults and adults looking to make change and eager to build their skill set to manage their symptoms.
My existing skillset allows me to tailor treatment to each client's individual needs and identified goals by utilizing Evidenced-Based Practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to address Anxiety and trauma.
