I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a graduate of Fairfield University. I work with teens, young adults, and older adults on concerns such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, self-esteem, and stress. I aim to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable exploring what they’re going through and building insight into their experiences. In my work, I use a collaborative approach and often draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I focus on helping clients develop practical coping skills they can use in their daily lives and supporting them as they work through change and build more balance and confidence.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, I focus on getting to know you as a person; what’s bringing you in, what you’ve been struggling with, and what you’re hoping to change or improve. We’ll also talk through your goals for therapy so we can start to shape a direction that feels realistic and meaningful for you, rather than something one-size-fits-all. You can expect a supportive, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where you can speak openly at your own pace. My goal is to help you feel comfortable while also beginning to identify patterns, strengths, and areas for growth. From there, we start building practical tools and strategies together that support greater balance, coping, and overall well-being in your daily life.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out about my therapeutic approach is that it is collaborative, practical, and tailored to each client’s needs. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), along with mindfulness and skills-based strategies when appropriate, to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. My focus is on helping clients build real, usable tools they can apply in their daily lives to manage anxiety, depression, stress, and relationship challenges. Over time, clients often report feeling more self-aware, more in control of their reactions, and more confident in handling life’s challenges.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

In my practice, I find that I’m most drawn to working with individuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression, and family conflict. I work with both men and women in individual therapy, and I really value creating a space where clients feel comfortable being open about what they’re going through. Many of the people I see are dealing with overthinking, feeling stuck, or challenges in their relationships, and I enjoy helping them make sense of those experiences and start to feel more in control. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, while also working on practical changes in their daily lives. I tend to take a collaborative and flexible approach, meeting clients where they are and integrating things like mindfulness or communication skills when it fits their needs especially when family dynamics are involved. What I find most rewarding is seeing clients build confidence, gain insight, and begin to approach their lives and relationships in a healthier, more intentional way.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a primary approach in my practice because it offers a practical, evidence-based framework that helps clients make meaningful, lasting changes. In my years as a licensed professional counselor in private practice, I’ve found CBT to be especially effective for treating anxiety, depression, and patterns of negative thinking. I work with clients to identify automatic thoughts and cognitive distortions, and I use techniques such as cognitive restructuring, thought tracking, and behavioral strategies like activation and exposure to support change. I apply CBT in a collaborative and flexible way, integrating mindfulness and grounding techniques when needed to help clients manage emotional intensity. Over time, I’ve learned to balance the structure of CBT with a strong therapeutic relationship, ensuring clients feel supported while also gaining practical skills. Overall, I value CBT for its ability to empower clients to become more aware of their thinking patterns and more confident in managing their mental health independently.
