Hi there! I am a licensed therapist (LCSW) in Illinois with over 5 years experience providing therapeutic services to diverse populations of individuals, groups, and families. I have worked with clients with a wide variety of presenting concerns including depression, stress and anxiety, ADHD, family conflicts, relationship issues, anger management, and self-esteem. I have also helped many clients work through trauma, abuse, grief and loss. If you are ready to make some positive changes in your life, I am here to support you along the way. Look forward to working with you!
Your initial session would include a spoken intake assessment for me to learn more about you and the presenting issues, while also helping us to build rapport, discuss goals, and create a treatment plan that works best for you.
My therapy style is genuine, integrative, and strengths-based. I do not tie myself to a singular therapeutic method, but rather work to blend elements from different approaches in order to tailor each client’s treatment based on specific needs. Using various talk therapy methods such as motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, psychoanalysis, and mindfulness techniques, I strive to help each individual feel comfortable and understood.
My existing clients have told me that I have a very calming presence, which helps to put them at ease & makes it easier to open up about things that may normally be difficult to talk about. I help clients to work toward their goals one step at a time, empowering them to believe that the changes they want to see in their lives are not only possible, but attainable. I believe that my greatest strength, which not only led me to this profession but keeps me going each day, is kindness.
I work particularly well with women who are going through life transitions, experiencing relationship and/or family issues, or challenges with anxiety, depression, and self-esteem.
