Ogechi Nkeonye
I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. My clinical focus includes the diagnosis and treatment of mood disorders (such as major depressive disorder and bipolar disorder), anxiety disorders, PTSD, ADHD, substance use disorders, and psychotic disorders.
What sets my approach apart is the integration of psychotherapy with thoughtful medication management, allowing me to address both biological and psychosocial aspects of mental health.
Clients can expect a respectful, collaborative, and culturally sensitive approach in our work together, centered on evidence-based treatment, active listening, and meeting you where you are in your journey toward wellness.
First session
My clients can expect a supportive and personalized experience focused on understanding their mental health, receiving a tailored treatment plan, learning effective coping skills, and building a trusting therapeutic relationship. My sessions aim to promote growth, self-awareness, and long-term well-being.
Strengths
As a PMHNP, my approach is rooted in a holistic and patient centered philosophy. I strive to create a therapeutic environment that is compassionate, culturally responsive, and grounded in evidence-based care. What sets my approach apart is the integration of psychotherapy with thoughtful medication management, allowing me to address both biological and psychosocial aspects of mental health. I emphasize collaboration working closely with each client to understand their unique experiences, goals, and values. Clients often share that they feel genuinely heard and supported in our sessions. I take the time to educate them about their conditions and treatment options, empowering them to take an active role in their healing. This not only fosters trust but often leads to improved engagement, reduced symptoms, and better long-term outcomes.
Ideal clients
I’m best positioned to support individuals who are navigating mood disorders like depression and bipolar disorder, anxiety, trauma-related conditions such as PTSD, ADHD, and substance use disorders. I work especially well with young adults, emerging professionals, and individuals from underrepresented or marginalized communities who may feel overlooked in traditional mental health spaces. Many of my clients are seeking clarity, emotional stability, and a sense of control over their lives. Whether you’re dealing with overwhelming stress, persistent sadness, difficulty focusing, or struggling with past trauma, I offer a supportive space where you can feel seen and understood. I work well with clients who are ready to explore the root of their challenges and are open to building insight while finding practical strategies for change. If your goals include emotional healing, improved daily functioning, or simply having someone to walk beside you as you figure things out, I’m here for that journey.
