I love helping people discover the greatness that lives within them. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Pennsylvania and a nationally certified counselor (NCC). As a strength-based clinician, I focus on positive and productive growth mindsets with my clients. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) and Internal Family Systems (IFS), while also being a trauma-informed and trauma-trained clinician. I work with clients to understand their worldviews and perspectives.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session, clients will get to learn more about me as their therapist. It is essential to building the client/therapist relationship which plays a role in setting the tone for therapy. I strive to create a comfortable and safe environment both in person and virtually. We will discuss the client's reason for coming to therapy and their desired outcome, in addition to any concerns the client may have. I will also review informed consent, confidentiality, boundaries, and any information pertinent to my practice's policies and procedures. Together, we will discuss a plan of action to move forward with therapy sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a clinician, I believe it is important to be open and honest. Given my background working with diverse communities, it is imperative for me to create culturally responsive environments for my clients. I believe laughter can be healing and I include humor in my sessions. My ability to connect with my clients on their level has made me successful at facilitating change in their lives.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use multiple treatment methods including CBT. I primarily use CBT to assist clients in changing negative thoughts and behaviors. I include behavioral interventions, skills training, and goal setting. Some interventions include journaling, practicing breathing techniques, and actively disrupting cognitive distortions.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

I am Level 1 trained in IFS. I practice the model as prescribed, including parts mapping, developing a relationship with parts, healing exiles, identifying managers and firefighters, strengthening self-energy, and achieving integration and growth.
